This was really good and it made a lot of sense. I don’t consider myself “Christian” but I was talking to a mentor that knew this about me and I told her that I wanted to get married and she said “why do you want to get married if you’re not Christian?” I was confused then laughed then thought she was hating 😂😂😂 but now I see I was lost all along. He is absolutely right we want our own version of it … that’s why it’s not working. We have become a society that tries to adjust the universe to fit us instead of adjusting to fit what is already written. Powerful lesson!!!! Masterful 👏🏾🙌🏾❤

People used to tell me I was crazy because I would “scare” them EXCEPT for the married people I knew and then my husband found me! The conversations we had, the time we spent getting to know each other before dating. Met March 2020, started dating May 2020, engaged December 2021 and and got married November of last year! If you both know there’s no question! New subscriber! Keep up the great work!

A woman watching and piping in… what a great podcast. I have been all over the spectrum with a 10 yr, 7 yr, 3yr, two 1 yr relationships and many casual and what I have realized is love is a decision daily. I agree not everyone is meant for marriage or not ready for it now. There is nothing wrong with being where you are at. Just make yourself more valuable personally during that time. I am intentional now but even when I wasn’t I always looked for honesty at where you are at. When I needed to be free I looked for the guy that was up front and honest and in the same place. For me personally I know God wants me to be married so now i have to be healed . during this time single I have to start being a wife. I also agree a woman shouldn’t search for a man. A man should pursue. A woman can’t submit to a man that she is having to carry. Neither party will feel at peace and feel respect in this position. Also want to say there is a misconception about all women looking for a expensive date. My favorite dates were walking at a park, hiking, off roading or just driving and seeing where the road takes you. Don’t take me to the movies until at least 3 dates in. Keep up the good work you are doing

We obsess with the institution of marriage, and still cannot get it right! I agree marriage, is not for everyone. Why cannot we preach alternatives as well. There are many living their lives healthy, and happy without marriage, and not a damn thing wrong with them. Look, we need to stop this obsession with marriage! You happen to have it, make it work! This guest, is speaking from the Bible that's great! Love that. Too many on KZitem, voicing about marriages and relationships, some fake and some Google knowledge it! Too many fakers flying around. We have to use our own judgements and common senses. You mentioned marriages, not about love, that it is a part of it, but it mainly about partnership. Yes, that's so important, but does that mean if love, dies, ignore the situation and still hang in there for tge sake of partnership? ❤

You can only have one God, and just one woman to make a home. If you can live with that principle you can walk into your manhood and show up in your life before you become a father we don't need no more Baby Mama's or Baby Daddy's that's not a family life any child needs to be born into it's not a healthy environment for anyone involved in that situation. Commitment, stability and emotional safety consistency to bringing up a family maturity is required to get it together with your spouse in that partnership is when you can really get through it in life life needs balance and you on your own may not be enough so get yourself your partner and move forward no time to play marriage is a serious matter and if your not treating not ready leave those who are serious about it alone you have no business getting in their way and being a distraction

Also I think his answer to “what about a man that doesn’t see the value in marriage do?” Was so spot on … it needs to be played on repeat. No one should have to convince you or prove to you that marriage is valuable! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 you either Believe or you don’t! I think many ppl miss that …. There is a man that should not get married .. more men need to decide which side of the fence they want to be on and stop confusing everyone ….of course there are some women that should not as well but all this talk trying to make it fit our ideas that’s what’s really messing up the Union and value … it’s not the marriage it’s the ppl in it and reality that’s been the problem all along!!

People are forgetting that people can literally wake up and change there mind.. no matter how good it looks .. all things can be a green light for marriage but free will of volition goes each way .. this generation don’t view sacredness we looking at value instead of sacredness.. the old folks had sacredness that last 50 yrs in a marriage and had less.. so the value of sacredness of Marriage is loss.. Other cultures had and have less and make it work for 30-50 yrs.. because loyalty and sacredness mattered

But why do men keep talking about marriage all of a sudden? They never did that before. Like a decade ago and earlier. So why now? What I think women gotta look at is the real reason men do things. That includes everything men do. Bcuz not always, but usually, there’s an ulterior motive behind it. And women should always want to know the real reason a man is doing something so that they don’t unwittingly walk into a vile trap or sign up for things outside of their nature. For example, a man being all about himself. It’s all about him and nothing else. Which is something a woman should never engage in. So, why are guys talking about nothing but marriage now? Even red pill guys are talking about marriage these days. Why? I would like to hear men answer my question. And please, nothing about god and religion. I want to hear men state from their own wants and mouth, why they talking about marriage now. And fellas, why should a woman marry you? Just bcuz you want to? That’s not a reason. Please give a valid reason if you can. That I’m asking, not only bcuz guys never talked about marriage before, but also, bcuz y’all are against female independence and claim it’s destroying the black community and the world. Which is two strikes against getting married from my view as a woman.

Wow I just came across your site and the title interest me, so I decided to listen in. I was so bless to hear this brother breaking down all the aspects of marriage, The real value of what marriage is how you should ask the right questions and be more eager to really know the core of the person. It was such a breath of fresh air because usually women are having these conversations and rarely do you hear a group of men having these deep conversations. We as women are so easy to expose our souls but men are so different when it comes to things that may seem to put them in a vulnerable state. I enjoyed this session and it gave me also tools in really investing in men that want to have these conversations. Unfortunately I been dealing with the ones that should definitely stay single.

Why continue to date the same kind of people and expect a different outcome. If she's not fine with a coffee or a walk in the park, could it be she's not for you? But you want to lay down with her, so you keep going off with these same type of wemon, then complain. And wemon do the same. The way you search, choose, and a date ..it's all got to change if you want a better/different outcome. Why meet at the bar and club and expect to find a traditional woman. Go to the park yourself, see who's out in that environment. At the dog park, in the coffee shops, in church, and family style get together. Someone who's not shaking their ass. All I hear is people picking up the wrong kind of man/female over and over

This guy said monogamy didn't come from Christianity bc there were some situations in the Old Testament. That's interesting bc the Old Testament isn't about Christianity at all. Also, Delilah wasn't curious about Sampson's strength. She was a plant by the men amongst her people to find out so they could bring him down. Side note, plants are still being sent for our strong, wealthy and influential men. Lol Bell, Biv, Devoe. Young bloods dnt know about that.

That was a great episode! What I feel we need to be reminded of more, the purpose, importance and value of marriage! When dating know yourself first ( values, mission, vision) so you know what to look for in a spouse and know what fits with you. Like a puzzle. Date with purpose and be intentional in getting to know someone’s mind and heart. Don’t marry vision, marry values. Marry someone who will add value to your life and can build with. Build as a team. Our world is dating wrong and broken marriages show it. This was a breadth of fresh air.

It’s always good to get the view points of men. However, we as women and men cannot put the responsibility on each other to give us what only God can give us which is our purpose that can not be found in each other. It can only come from God. If we both are being led by God and asking his well to be done in our life then a person can’t come into our lives to bring that out only God can do that. Now once we align with God then I believe He will align us with our partners. Marriage is only for God purpose only.

We women, love the fact the you men are trying to make things better. It was hard dealing with y’all before now, because every time we ask what do y’all do when y’all have boys night out, we never got an answer. Y’all would allow our minds to think about what if… Either way it goes, our thoughts come to life every time. When we have girls night out, we always try to accomplish something and hold each other accountable. That is why we have little to no friends. If one of your boys did something wrong, y’all would allow the fool to make y’all jump off the bridge with him. He had nothing to lose and wanted to mess up what y’all have. No matter how much y’all think everyone will keep what y’all do quiet, that single friend who lives that wild, free, fake fun life that y’all begin to dream of, he ends up showing y’all that it’s your life that he wish he had by trying to take your woman and everything you built with her. If he can’t get her, his next step is to give hints that you are joining him in his wild life. Notice that he never starts to call you DOG until you get around your wife. If y’all have conversations like what y’all are having now, it will help fix families. The mess up starts when one of your friends lose their wife and start to brag about their single life, as if they really love it. 1. Dating is collecting data and getting a little practice in your femininity and masculinity. People do not mind shy people, but it’s the too shy people who does not know how to relax and have fun. 2. Marriage is done only for the statues of it now a days. Marriage was meant to settle problems of the need for the energy and abilities from the opposite sex. It was supposed to be used to shut down others who tend to force themselves on you. But because men tend to not shut down other women, ladies stopped shutting down other men. This problem shuts down the beautiful life and accomplishments a marriage is supposed to be made for. 3. Everyone should increase their value. Your health and your ability to care for yourself without help, increases your value. Your ability to not destroy your life before you meet your spouse increases your value. The research you have done to find out the purpose the creator made for your existence, searching your history so you may know where you come from and practicing self control increases your value. 4. It's important to have a house wife for her safety and your peace. She needs to learn how to become a housewife and mother in peace. The reason men do not like house wives anymore is because the new age women were not taught or did not pay attention to learn how to do that job.

Women do not mind being led, our problems with y’all leadership is, the point when y’all leadership: 1. becomes a power trip like cops. 2. You want to lead even when you want us to help you do your job. 3. When you only act manly when you want to control us. 4.When you try to lead at times when your leadership is not needed. 5. When we watch y’all allow others to disrespect you and you bow down to other men who has no rightful authority over you or the situation and place you are in. 6. When you do not know how to lead. Meaning, y’all talk about how women do not know how to be the perfect housewife, yet you never seen that being taught in school and or you never seen her mom or g-mom teach or even do any of those things. How do you expect her to know without being taught? I know it is suppose to come naturally, but it comes naturally with a feeling we get from y’all. When y’all mess up that feeling while dating, even before we get married, why would you think the love and Holy Spirit of god would think to allow our natural housewife abilities to be passed down from our ancestors? They took all that home economics, sewing and knitting out of school to destroy the women of todays families like it has done. Same case in point. No one taught y’all how to lead, so why should we allow you to mess up both our lives with your messed up leadership abilities that you learned from watching other boys who claim to know how to lead? Yeah, they lead your football and basketball teams but those sports has nothing to do with what goes on in a house or in a marriage. They took the auto shop, leather binding shop and woodworking shop out of school to destroy the men of todays families like it has done. Let’s agree on this, we all were misled to believe our womanhood and manhood would come naturally, yet we now see that we all need training to do that basic job if we plan to get married to someone of the opposite sex. I’m sure I can write the book on how to be the perfect housewife to help y’all get your women to the right place they need to be, but can any of you men write the book on how to be the perfect husband? If y’all had not taken my King down, he would have written it. I see that tv judge explaining to y’all about her King. I feel her pain and I am happy to know that another real woman experienced the love, respect and joy that came from a real King. My heart goes out to her.

The only reason we have a little woman training and how to conduct ourselves more than men knowing how to do their job is because moms stick around more than dads. Our toys trained us how to do our job, while y’all toys trained y’all how to stay little boys. If we can come together are agree that neither of us have the right or perfect training, we can make an agreement on what we think our jobs and your jobs should be. We can try to do our jobs the right way and make marriages work.

All right hold on though. If a woman is needed to be a house wife then the man is needed to be the provider. A generous and a gentle one, at that not a controlling abusive demanding one. After dealing with the demands of home and children she needs no more demands. She needs to be inspired for whatever else he may require. And money does not inspire anything all by itself. Let us be crystal clear. You need to provide both financial and emotional security if you really want a well functioning house wife.

Love this conversation! But relationships have become so complex, why? What was the catalyst that caused this transition to a world that less community centered to individualism. In community we find repersentions of all kind of relationships, mentorship, collaboration, comprise, tradition, legacy, love, etc. I think the deterioration of community has led to the relationship and relational problems we see today. Conversations like these give me hope we got this 💪🏽❤

Enjoyed this conversation. I will say: monogamy is a part of God’s design. Initially, he created woman from man; only ONE woman was created to be his help meet. In addition, in Ephesians 5, the Bible gives clear instruction for wives to submit to their own husbands and husbands to love their own wives as God loved the church. In fact, it states “He who loves himself loves his wife.” NOT plural. God is intentional, it’s not by chance that He didn’t say “he who loves his wives…” Polygamy is clearly not what God is establishing as truth. It continues on describing that ““For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” (Verse 31). While there were definitely people with multiple wives in the Old Testament and Jesus even referred to a woman who had multiple husbands (because in God’s eyes, sex is worship and signifies a marriage), that does NOT mean that God’s design isn’t monogamy. It is.
