these dudes were and still are my metal idols alongside the norse gods themselves shuggah. Grew up in watford and got to see these guys play when they were doing pub gigs and stuff, hearing that they got back together literally got me back into metal. You should check out riddles of humanity and century of the narcissist, off the new album. Gold

As a og metal guy all I usually care about are the guitar riffs and groove, but I absolutely love the vocals on this album. The way the two singers play off each other is seamless. The first few times I listened to the album I thought it was only one singer. Listened to this album at least 30 times since it came out. cheers

Don't get me wrong I do love wait for something wild, It still has good songs like pussyfoot and hold my finger, but for some reason I felt it lacked a punch, maybe it's from a production quality standpoint. doadd is sort of anthemic in and of itself and IMO a more refined release. The guitar work on all of their material is pretty damn nutty though ha
@swarm69

i honestly felt that DOADD lacked the energy of the first album it felt more formulaic and less crazy and out there, then ofc they broke up for a bit, but im glad they are back and the new stuff is rad so yay!

Do Bland Street Bloom! It's one of their earlier songs, and is absolutely insane. If you were a fan of their older work you probably know this. Also check out "Black Blood" by Car Bomb! Got to see SikTh at their first show in the united states last year. I was right on the barricade (as you can see in videos on my channel) and got to talk to them all after the set, they're incredibly kind, and were blown away by how crazy the room went for them. Everyone knew most of the words, and you could definitely tell they appreciated it. This show was also their new vocalist's first performance with the band. The new vocalist (Joe Rosser from ALIASES) worked really well with Mikee (the other original vocalist who does all of the crazy awesome weird voices for SikTh.)

Check out another english band. Before they disbanded less than a year ago they played very clever and intelligent progressive metal with occassional symphony inclusions. I would even put their music creativity level somewhere near Townsend's and that of Opeth. "Xerath" is the name and although they did not make a music video for my favotite track (what a shame!) almost every their song is a masterpiece. kzitem.info/news/bejne/u6SZ045-hmlei5g - Bleed This Body Clean

I honestly don't get why the lyrics would be weird. They just represent the weirdness of dreams. I really liked the part where they sing about trying to fly since I had that dream several times as a child and was always so uplifted when I could actually make it

Never heard this guys before, I wasn't expecting those vocals... As you said, they have a Jonathan Davis vibe, but I don't really like them, however, the instrumental is pretty good. If you want another english band you should react to Bloodshot Dawn - Unified.

After getting into their latest album, I would say Vivid is the weakest song on it. Golden Cufflinks and Cracks of Light are the most accessible songs on the album but after several listens my favourite ones on it are The Aura and No Wishbones. Bland Street Bloom is the song that originally got me into Sikth and the one that propelled them 10 years ago, along with Philistine Philosophies.
