THANK YOU SO MUCH!. I thought patch cables were all the same. It turns out that changing mine made the difference.

Hahahaha. It took me a second to realize that guitar was on the rug. I was like man why are you standing on that beautiful guitar!

I hope that you ended up getting a used Truetone, Cioks or Strymon switch mode power supply. You can buy them used for about £75-£150 and are extremely quiet. I only get noise with heavy overdrives with my Strymon Zuma PS. Also, learn to solder your own cables and buy good quality cable and Neutrik or Switchcraft connectors (or similar quality. Soldering is very easy. I was sure that I couldn’t solder for years. I watched some KZitem videos and was quickly able to solder anything. When soldering, neatness and cleanliness counts.

I learned something from this. Donner is a nice price-effective brand ( I have one of those Donner delays myself). I need to check this out.

Boo do babs! Thank god you’re the guitarist and not the lyricist! That did brighten my day. Nice honest view, cheers. As soon as you pulled up that cheapo lead I thought, yeah I have one of those! Ok for chucking a couple of pedals down but it seems far from decent for a proper job. The transformers in the back of the iso supply will (or can) induce hum, wave it about over your board and see, I had to relocate mine due to this. Sometimes it is just the tiniest amount left or right makes a big difference, or even a bit higher or lower.

Do you think there is a huge difference between the ISO 8 plus and the regular ISO 8? One is more cheaper than the other but i just need a good isolated power supply like them to cancel out my hum from my pedals. What should i do?

I'd think either of them will still be isolated. :) the differences are probably just extra features like different voltages.

hi there..thanks for the video, i would definitely buy new patch cable and power supply..right now im using wah pedal which really gives me headache..because it affects all my other pedal signals, even if it’s switched off, it still has that hissing sound coming out from my amp..do you have any advise? i heard about fx looper pedal the one which has two input and output, but i still dont understand how it works..(my wah pedal is not truebypass)

Hi, perhaps it is the buffer in the wah causing noise? or it could be a drive pedal. drive is compression so any noise in the signal is made worse with drives. maybe your drive pedal is the noisy one or if you have a power supply that isn't isolated that will be causing noise. then adding drives makes it worse. I have my pedals in a loop switcher now- so each pedal in in it's own loop i turn on or totally bypass. it helps isolate the pedals from each other unless I am using them and helps diagnose problems easier. Hope that helps! thanks for watching
