Tamir , contradicting help please. Jer 31:20 is Ephraim my dear son? Isaiah 19:25 Egypt my people? Vs Exodus 4:22 Say to pharaoh, Israel is my son, even first born. (“Who’s on first, What’s on second”) I’m confused, how are these related? Just asking.

no problem. Lets start with, there can only be ONE first born son, makes sense, yes? That is Israel and Israel means the children of Israel, which by no means takes away from Ephraim being one God's "dear sons". As for Isiah, the way its written in English without context from the previous verses can be misleading. So lets break it down, because it come down to punctuation. in verse 24, God is saying that Israel will be as wealthy and beautiful as Egypt was in the world when they were slaves, and as powerful and dominating as Assyria was in the time of the 10 kidnapped tribes. Now verse 25... "that which the Lord of Hosts blessed/will bless (that is Israel), for blessed are MY people (Israel who I sent to Egypt), Egypt." God is telling Egypt that His people are blessed, not that Egypt are blessed, that they too will be blessed like they were under their bootheel. "and the works of my hands (that God did for Israel regarding Assyria, when He destroyed 185k of their generals in a night), God will again do this for "for My heritage Israel." I hope that answer your question, which was great question btw. Next time though, please email me :)
