Nice review, HIBY has nailed the design and sound with this DAP. 😊

Indeed bro, sound is also brilliant. Sounds more open than my Shanling M7.

Bhai M7 is around 900mw if i am not wrong. For people who use only iems r6 pro2 is the better choice. For majority of people who use a wide range of iems and hp's fiio m15s and shanling m7 is the better choice. Hiby needs to optimise the device bcz battery life is average considering its lower power output. Nice honest review as always pulkit bhai👍

This dap has been made certainly not for Planar or high impedance cans. But be sure, it work well with something like Fostex TH900 or Focal Clear.

For using iem: how it is compared to ifi xdsd gryphon? I am more leaning towards r6 pro ii due to it's convenience. I like to know what i am going to miss if i go with r6 pro ii. For Headphone, i will connect external amp with any of these device.

iFi devices have a warm sound tone, denser note weight. This one has a more neutral sound in terms of presentation. Instrument notes are slightly leaner in comparison to the iFi(which sound thick and heavy imo). Although iFi has those xBass and xSpace things that are more consumer focused you know, gives more slam, and more air at the click of a button.

Great review. Considering you used it for a week - How many hours did you run the device before reviewing it. Ive read that after 100 hours the sound opens up. Never thought burn-in was a thing for daps. Thought it was an iem/hp thing

I have used the player for close to 10-12 days bro roughly 60-70 hours based on the number of times i have charged it during this period lol

Great review! May i ask how would it sound with the 64 audio u12t? Im considering this or Fiio M15s. Im using IFI Gryphon right now but to get the best out of it, i need to make a sandwich with my phone via USB and its not very convinient. Ive had the IBasso dx320, Shanling M8 in the past, so which dap would you recommend for me- this one or the Fiio to get close to my previous daps?

I don't have the U12T with me bro so can't comment much. But all the people who have tested this so far in my country loved this with their IEMs.

Does this R6 Pro II player have enough power to drive headphones, specifically the classic Sennheiser HD 650 (SPL 104)? Some reviews imply it is tailored to ear buds, and is "relatively low powered". No doubt this unit has superb sound, but if it cannot drive my headphones, I will look elsewhere. Please advise.

It doesn't drive headphones that well. I tried hd660s2 while it was getting enough loud, it was no where what it sounds when properly amp'ed

I have to listen at low sound levels at night, and it’s a little hard to understand what you’re saying. So interested in this review though. For an American audience, you might try slowing down your speaking. Thanks
