@@katten838 jesus, who the fuck cares. You think the first comment you responded to was referring to her fucking ethnicity? She's there rapping in Swedish, she's come to the US from Sweden as a Swedish citizen. It's not that wrong to refer to her as Swedish, because most of the time when you talk about someone who's lived a majority of their life in a country, you assign them that nationality. You're being pedantic, and considering what you're saying you sound like a ethnonationalist. Minni didn't say swedes are racist, I think she might be saying that YOU sound racist. +Jenny S Because Sweden has a great rap scene, with a bunch of guys and girls who are WAY better than her. This would be fine if it wasn't for the fact that she is the only rapper who gets attention in the media (and she wins all the awards etc), and almost the only one being played on radio as well, this in spite of her not being that big (if you check views on KZitem/plays on Spotify). To add to the damage, one of her label mates is married to one of Swedens most influential people when it comes to cultural media (don't know how to put it in English, but I think you get what I'm saying). This might be totally far-fetched, but to me she is an artist created by the media, because in the news she has been getting standing ovations since before regular people even knew about her. All this even though she's quite mediocre compared to a lot of other swedish rappers.

She has everything working against her to get love in the US as a rapper (female, white, foreign language, not a sex symbol, doesnt do cheesy pop-rap) and yet there she is on Sway in the morning spitting hard. For her attitude, approach, social concience and content- Respect.

So tired of this kind of rap. It's too many of them in Sweden. The buch that she desribes as ''the progressive group''. It's not about spitting in the traditional sense. With dope lyrics and delivery. For them it's more about image and having an attitude. If you listen to her you can hear that it's more weight to how she says it than what she actually says. They're taking on different political statements and trying so hard to become a symbol for something instead of just shining with their talent...but because it's close to non existent they prefer to use cheap tricks. No real respect for the art. Makes me vomit on all them ''generation defining'' artists.
