This looks like a really nice wheel. But sorry win you said Ricmotech or what ever the name is I had to stop watching. They are a ripoff to Sim racers. They are what I call greedy. The prices they charge are probably the highest in industry. I was shopping during COVID and this company really had price inflation. Sorry fifty 8 year old person that still has the guts to call out wrong doings.

It’s called supply and demand. If demand goes up so do prices. Stop whining about common business practices and bitching about a lack of response from a busy man that provides an extremely valuable service to the community. Until you release a better review on every wheelbase out there that you bought with your own money, stop complaining. Don’t expect more of others than you do of yourself. I would have though that “fifty 8” years of life would’ve taught you that already.

FYI for anybody curious. Simagic under-rates their peak torque. The mini has more like 13-14Nm of torque and ~10Nm of holding torque. The mini punches WELL above it's weight class and is arguably the best value DD on the market in it's torque class.

@@DjTittySprinklez a straight and sturdy shaft that's not held by a clamp and won't randomly pop off or disconnect (CSL DDs do not have a straight shaft). It actually is capable of outputting 13nm of torque instead of 10nm, so the difference in details is very noticeable. I do not know why they underreport the torque on their bases. For example, the 15nm Alpha actually is able to give 18nm of torque. The motor does not have weird grainy vibrations, the QR does not clunk or rattle; there's absolutely no play between it and the shaft. The wheels are amazing, but they don't have low budget options. However, if you buy a Fanatec GT3 wheel, a metal QR and upgrade the shifter paddles, you will get close to the Simagic wheel prices but it will still be plastic instead of alluminium and carbon fiber. It just shits on the CSL DD in every aspect IMHO

A big question here: did you ever manage to make the Simagic Alpha Mini work in Project cars 2 or Automobilista 2? It never works for me. Very difficult to even assign and calibrate, have to reduce the rotation to tiny angles. But even after that, in game there is 0 movement from the wheel. All the buttons are recognized, even axis of the paddles, but not the rotational axis. Tried with all settings I could on the Simagic software and in game, same result in both of those games.

In the software, turn the wheel in "Compatibility mode" and calibrate it then launch the game. If it's still not OK, stay in compatibility mode and configure your wheel as a joystick in Steam (plenty of video on that)

@@mArvAlcao71 I have actually got myself one now after looking at many reviews and especially the one from Sim Racing Garage where the wheelbase is stripped down and rebuilt. i went for the Alpha because its the happy medium and glad i did. also what i was sold on was the new GTS wheel rim as it 300mm round wheel. perfect as an all-rounder wheel. i can race any kind of car with this wheel option. really liking it so far. right now i am waiting for a Moza racing desk clamp / wheelbase mount, as apparently it has same hole alignment and looks much better than my old Fanatec one i have modified. i also had to order a new Potometer for my old Fanatec CSL pedals as the throttle pedal one is toast. this will do until the new Moza SR-P pedal arrives. then i will have a real mixed bag setup but glad to support the manufactures.
