Great info again. Thanks. I'll have to pop over to your genetics site soon, I've not looked since I joined a while ago.

I see a blue checker right in front of me and this guy is trying to convince me that it’s really a blue bar, now this is a perfect example of a thing called gaslighting.

@@Jayzap315 hey man don’t take what I said seriously, I’m always challenging Adam in the comments section, but I can tell that you genuinely didn’t understand his breakdown of the Checkers, what he was basically saying was that even though that bird looks like a Checker on the outside, genetically it is a Blue Bar that means all of its offspring will be Blue Bars it will never produce a Checker even though that is his base color.
@AdamArcherPigeons

Pigeons have space for two pattern genes, the old bird here is bar//bar. He has no check gene in him. But he does have another unrelated gene called "sooty" that can make a blue bar look similar to a check. In the video I showed how to tell the difference, checks have dark pigment on the outside of the feather and blue closer the middle/quill of the feather, whereas sooty birds have the dark pigment over the middle or quill of the wing shield feathers.

Hello. I come from Poland and I watch each of your films because they are interesting where you can learn a lot from them. I come with such a question whether it would be possible to buy any doves from the Lord in the spring. I am a beginner breeder and I would like to have pigeons from you to bring them up to SB. I think he will read my comment and contact me. best regards

Between you and Kurt I'm beginning to believe that Aussies only breed pigeons for their color and not for their racing ability.. Maybe that explains why I never see any birds from Australia at the top of the racing sheets in the big money, international one loft races..
