This is such a light and amazing desert.
Swiss roll
4 room temperature eggs
1/4 Cup Caster sugar/white sugar (for yolk mixture)
1/4 caster sugar(for the egg whites mixture)
2 TBS flavourless oil
2 TBS room temperature milk
1 TSP Vanilla essence/extract
2TBS Corn starch
1/2 Cup all purpose flour (Take out 2TBS of the flour and add in 2TBS corn starch )
Pick of salt
15x10 inch pan
For filling
250 ml/1 cup chilled whip cream
2 TBS icing sugar
5-10 strawberry slices
Egg yolk mixture
1. Separate the egg yolk and whites
2. Whisk the egg yolk
3. Add in 1/4 Cup sugar and mix
4. Mix in 2 TBS oil and 2 TBS milk
5. Combine 1/2 Cup all purpose flour, pinch of salt and Corn Starch (Take out 2TBS of the flour and add in 2TBS corn starch )
6. Sift the flour mix in to the yolk mixture
7. Now mix
Egg whites mixture
1. In the separate bowl beat the egg whites on high speed
2. Gradually add in 1/4 Cup of white sugar
3. Now beat the egg white mixture until stiff peaks and fluffy (Do not overbeat check in between)
4. To check if the mixture is done take a spatula or a spoon and if the the mixture doesn’t fall of the spoon its good.
5. Add in the eggs whites-and the yolk mixture gradually
6. Use a whisk to combine
7. Fold in the last remaining mixture.
8. Pour in the batter in 15x10 inch pan lined with baking sheet/parchment paper
9. Bake at 350F/180C for 12 min
10. Let the cake deflate and make sure not to fully cool the cake *the cake needs to be warm
Assembling
1. On a parchment paper sprinkle icing sugar this will help the cake not stick to the parchment paper.
2. Carefully flip the cake on the parchment paper
3. Remove the parchment paper that was on the cake cake
4. Sprinkle icing sugar on the cake
5. Roll the cake
6. Now let it cool down completely
Filling
1. Beat 1 cup of Cold whip cream and them carefully add in 2 TBS of icing sugar
2. Beat until stiff peaks
3. Now unroll the cake and fill in the whip cream
4. Evenly spread out the whip cream
5. Add in the strawberry slices
6. Roll carefully and let it chill for 2 hours
7. Enjoy!
