You better get a bigger motor kev to push it around.lol😊

😂 I have considered it and a new motor might be something for the future! Though overall I think I'll be down slightly on weight compared to prior, dropping 40KG of battery weight by moving to lithium.

I would probably radius the top shelf near driver seat that would hurt in the dark but great build sofar love it. Also isn’t funny that friends come around to help with build or just pick it up haha

Great stuff looks awesome! I like how your are a bit unconventional i can relate to that! That tool that you put on the drill to do the pop rivets is sexy AF, didn't know they existed the tendons in you hands and wrists will be thanking you with that many rivets to do! I reckon you could of used 12mm ply to save on weight that is what i have got, looks like there is ample support.Really enjoying the series great work must be a real effort to film it, it would be intense enough just carrying out the work.

@akhector You're right about being unconventional, I think it stems from me just trying to do things without too much research 😂 Does take a bit of effort to film and to make the video on top of that, lots of effort and hours, so many hours haha.. About the ply, I'll give you a spoiler, I actually found some form ply that has this waterproof coating all over it. It's 17mm thick and based off my rough maths it will be about 8KG more in weight overall compared to 12mm, so I decided what they hell, I'll give it a go, hopefully overall I'm down on weight, cutting 40KG from batteries and about 11KG on petrol (unless I go on a big trip and take the big tank).

@tworodsdownunder yes I think I know the stuff, it's what they use for concreting, dark brown in colour, Marine ply is expensive so I can see the logic now, a good thing to do to make it more waterproof is to paint it with fibreglass resin, that's what the marine dealer told me and I did it and it works well.Lithum batteries are a massive weight saver for sure, they also charge up a lot quicker the downside is they are hard to keep track of the state of charge (because the voltage doesn't drop much)unless you have built in bluetooth monitoring or install a smart shunt (Victron ip65 for example) they will go full power until they reach 10% then shut of completely.

@@akhector I've gone the shunt monitor route, have a similar setup for my kayak trolling motor setup, works really well. Ahh can't wait to get this boat back out onto the water

@tworodsdownunder sounds like you are all over it, you understand the issue. The shunt is a bit more inconvenient but a lot cheaper, those bluetooth batteries are not cheap🤑 at least with the shunt you can swap it over if you have to replace the battery

Looking so good Kev, coming along nicely. Did you consider alloy deck as well instead of ply?
