I’m an idiot lol. I thought your comment was on the drum programming post I put up so I just deleted my original reply. Swing and a miss. It is a handy trick. I’ve done it for a long time. I’m actually surprised there aren’t other videos on this. I looked and couldn’t find any.

@@EverythingMusicRecording Ha! I’ve done that and worse in responding. I like the idea of referencing samples to tune drums. I can see you have lots of great experience. You know you’re in that sweet spot when you’re making the videos you want to watch. I’ve got some topics I want to light up. I’m excited to see your other videos❤️ keep rocking brother!

Lol yea we all have brain farts. I thought your comment was about my post about doing drum programming videos. Yea I don’t remember when I started using samples as a tuning guide. Prolly 12 or so years ago. I guess I just thought of it like using a guitar tuner in a way. Lol yea I’ve been at this for over 25 years. I was the sound engineer at a local theater the summer before I even started high school… god I’m old lol. Ideas? Do you have a channel too? I’m in the studio app right now so if click your name it doesn’t take me anywhere.
