In this video, we explain a simple experimental method for tuning the parameters of a Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) control algorithm. We use a ball and beam experimental setup to demonstrate the method. The experimental setup is open-loop unstable which makes the tuning problem more complex. We implemented the PID control algorithm in Arduino.
