A lot easier than fixing a misfire on a dodge. 99% of the time, you end up replacing a destroyed cam

Would it be better just to replace all the spark plugs and coils at the same time?

Yes, I replaced #5 2016 gmc yukon 3 weeks ago. Now same damn problem. Hope it's a different coil and not #5 again......

Everyone needs to understand that he is saying that this is a coil pack, but this is not a coil pack. A coil pack consists of only one coil that supplies spark to all the spark plugs. What he is diagnosing is an individual coil, also known as a COP or coil on plug. The coils in this video are individually placed or attached to each spark plug. His diagnosing this type is right, but im just correcting the term he's using because diagnosing a coil pack is diagnosed differently.

Nice trick. However, and I'm not judging or anything, but I'd recommend just changing all the coils and packs at the same time. Because otherwise, doing this way, each one is more likely to fail more randomly. When all are replaced at once, you should, theoretically, be able to have more miles of good driving on all of them together. Then, one will eventually fail, indicating that the others should be changed as well. More expensive, but better piece of mind knowing they were all done at the same time...like brakes and tires.

New vehicle scanner checks all the computers on your vehicle data is what u should be looking for
@BlackWhite-ru8gm

Not a good test for people who doesn’t have a scanner. Just crank the vehicle up and disconnect each coil one at a time. If you dont hear a change in the engine then that coil is bad.

That's an ignition coil. Not a coil pack. A coil pack holds plug wires to a single pack

Hello, I'm a Nissan Tiida owner, and I'm encountering acceleration issues. I've replaced the spark plugs, air filters, transmission fluid, engine fluid, and the Fuel Assembly, but the problem persists. I haven't diagnosed the ignition coil yet, so I'm wondering if one of the coils might be faulty. For example, when I was in traffic with my foot on the brake, and I released the brake and pressed the gas, the car surged for a second and then settled. I noticed this tends to occur when the vehicle is cold. It mostly happens at low speeds. What could be causing this issue?

Or just pull the electrical connection on the pack with the engine running and see if the engine speed changes. Much quicker.

*update, it worked, + it cleared the code from my CAN OBD II...shaking and feeling like it's breaking apart gone. Btw I changed my Spark plugs 1-2 months ago. They don't wear out that quick unless the engine is in bad shape. Listen to your vehicles and find millions of vids to match what could be according to your code.

Does the engine light have to be on for code reader to work
@fixingstuff822
2 ай бұрын
your code reader should work regardless of the light being on. The light being on typically is an indicator of something that is wrong or needs to be checked for sure. No codes means, everything should be functioning normal. I have seen check engine lights burn out if they are on too long. All the more reason to have a code reader to check things out for yourself.

Should go away once it's replaced and codes are cleared. If it comes back, you may have more than 1 that's failed. Typically you can clear the code with a code reader or if you don't have one, try disconnecting the battery.

stay away from granatelli coil packs bought the second best for 2018 gt mustang one tight out of the box was defective. called them sent out another. engine check light came on. scan gt obd..several new coils failed within the first 1000 miles. bought granatelli best coil set bc I couldn't return them. one right out of the box failed. Called Joe Granatelli he told me a poor mechanic blames his tools. Wtf. my mechanic laughed. I called VMP racing they say go back to OME Ford coil pack bc aftermarket coils are a scam. I did GT ran great. just as good as Granattilli. Waste of money and Joe's attitude is a joke.
