Holy hell my man those who know this album know how great the bass is throughout the entire thing, and what a stellar album it is. Serious props! Also A+ for the fretless wal what I wouldn't give to have one of those! Now if you'd transcribe the entire album I'm sure plenty of us would pay for that PDF.

You single handedly gave me my song of the year. This came up in my suggested one day while I was doing schoolwork. I have listened to this album a sickening amount over the last 6-8 months. More specifically, I’ve listened to Someone Somewhere probably 200 times already this year. Your work is exquisite. You play with elegance, and clearly have honed your craft. Keep it up, cheers!

Makes me realise how good a bass player Derek Forbes is, and Simple Minds have never been as good without the creativity of him and Mick MacNeil. Much as I love "Once Upon A Time", this is just a different level.

Great playing, you have just reiterated what a complete and legendary album this was as is still, musically amazing, sounds from the bass that without them the album would lack something, and for the listener you just want to dance. I see you starting to groove, and why not, great to watch.. Cheers

Brilliantly done. Should go find now an amazing synth player as good as the one and only Michael MacNeal. King is white... my favourite on this album. Was nice to listen and watch. By far, the two missing are Derek Forbes and Michael MacNeal. And if going back to when they first formed Simple minds. Brian McGee on drums.

This series has been background music for me since I stumbled across it. Amplified live bass over the awesome 80s music that was too "mature" for me as a tween/early teen is like discovering artists all over again. Not to mention, your playing is incredible.

Love Hunter and the hunted. The variations are fantastic. If you watch when they play that on 'The Tube' TV programme, in Nov 1982, they play it quicker. Imagine playing that quicker like Forbes did. Superb.
