Simple Minds Live with New Gold Dream - Paradiso, Amsterdam 17th September 2005 - and if you have the breath to the end... you can see me listening to Paola's speech... :-)
After so many years still goosebumps. The most beautiful song of my life. Melody that comes from the future. Simple Minds was my first band that I saw live, in Italy. I'm Italian from Naples. Simple Minds, Depeche Mode, The Cure, The Stone Roses, The Charlatans, Shed Seven, Supergrass .... I want to go back in time ....

Thank for the upload. I miss the heavier emphasis on the keyboards from earlier performances. My favourite live version of the track is Live from The City of Lights - the electricity and energy come across even in the audio only recording...gives me serious goosebumps.

Well, actually it was released in 82, yaywhewclips 242, and not so much a collectors' item. New Gold Dream 81-82-83-84 is quite common and easy to buy. Not to say it isn't a brilliant album, though.

@doctorwhonico Lol! I know we all love SM but realistically that's what people said over 30 years ago about hip hop(btw for the record rap and hip hop are NOT interchangeable. Rap is but 1 of 4 parts that make up hip hop) I don't listen to the new stuff(a little TOO ignorant for me) but golden age is more my speed. Raps not going anywhere soon. As long as it's making record companies rich it will be here. The samething was said about rock. Now if there was no rock there'd be no SM. Peace.
