I know langtons ant for more than 20 years but never seen it on a hexa grid. This is fantastic. Thank you very much.

Interesting how the hexagon and triangle ones basically produce the same pattern. The square effect seems to be the most random. Gotta dive into this a bit more. Very interesting algorhythm.

They produce the same pattern because they're literally the same, hah. Notice how there are regular "holes" in the patterns in the hexagonal structure? Those represent the corners of the triangular structure, where six triangles meet.
