Here's another good use for the SWEET HEAT ...Spicy Porridge ! I usually add All Spice or Nutmeg to my Large Porridge Oats and often jazz it up with Sultanas, Dried Apricots, Nuts or Sliced Banana. Even more indulgent is a cooling dollop or two of Greek Yoghurt, but an added teaspoon of your SWEET HEAT...wow. The Scots would be horrified, they only add salt...or whisky. I have been really inspired by all your spices Tricia. I just wish they were a little less expensive in Canada. You really are a very talented cook under difficult conditions on the road. I do try to aspire to your standards when we take our Gulf Stream Conquest on the road.

Thank you! I will have to try this. I wish we could get them to Canada easier/cheeper too. Maybe this is the year we make it into local stores to people can grab them without shipping costs. Thanks for being part of this adventure. Happy trails! Trish

I love the new cookbook and I am already enjoying my blends! I tried something new this weekend... My son was feeling under the weather, so much that the nurse sent him home from school and told us we could not return until we had a covid test... Fortunately he tested negative and he did go back to school 2 days later. But... He was over-exhausted and his immune system was down, his allergies were acting up, he just was a big old mess... He's 14 years old. I thought some good old-fashioned mama-made chicken soup would be the right remedy. First step was to saute my sliced chicken breast that I seasoned with two generous pinches of the Lemon Herb Blend... Wow, that really made a difference, a game-changer (as they say). I added the other usual suspects: chicken broth, carrots, celery, onion, like you always say just add in whatever you happen to have. The chicken soup was a hit with my son and he perked right up after the soup and a sleep for 12 hours straight. Healing herbs! Looking forward to seeing more videos like the ones you have posted here. 💛💙🧡

I know this was a year ago, but I got the sweet heat spice packet with my cookbook. I'd been afraid to try it, thinking it would be too spicy for us. But after seeing this, I popped open the sample packet and used your technique. It was amazing! It wasn't nearly as spicy as I'd feared.

I just got my cookbook which is awesome! But the biggest highlight was the freebie of the sweet heat! I just grilled some chicken with and put it on my homemade Alfredo and good god it was amazing!!! I went to the site and bought a jar! AND got a jar of the jalapeño taco! So yeah I am a fan. Great job!

Delighted with my new beautiful cookbook. We are setting off for a week's RVing at Long Sault (pr Long Soo) in Ontario Canada. I shall be experimenting cooking with some of your dishes for my wife Jessica during our stay. Only one ingredient has baffled me so far... Jicama. It sounds delicious and I am trying to source a Canadian equivalent but am pretty sure it will be hard to find and while I loved the flavour of your Sweet Heat sample Tricia I shall have to persuade my very Canadian wife that Mexican spicy is not a poison. The cuisine here is so very 'eh'

Hi!! Loving the blends and the book! My question is, I notice a lot of the recipes call for the herbs of Provence blend. What combination of your blends you suggest we use? Lemon and garlic salt combined? Thanks!

My spices arrived a week ago and I used them on pork loins. I grilled one with Coffee Pecan and the other with the Garlic Salt. It was a toss-up as to which one was better:):)! Trying the Jalepeno Taco with taco salad tomorrow!!

When you suggested water on the grill instead of oil, I was reminded of what I use. Watermelon juice. It isn't overly flavorful but caramelizes nicely if you want to reduce it!

Looks soooo delicious. I can't wait to try this in a small portion as there are only 2 of us. Curious question we live i our RV so Broil is not an option as you know. I could turn the heat up to max but unlike broil the heat still comes from the bottom. How might I make this work.

I'm lovin' it - salmon is always awesome! Constructive feedback... I'm left feeling the video was somewhat rushed and short. I was struggling to keep up with you and what was happening, and trust me, I watch a LOT of KZitem cooking channels. Camera work (editing) was short and choppy (too many cuts?) - I'm no expert... - I just felt I was being "rushed" through the video. I think you can take your time more. We love you guys so much!!!

That good feedback. The truth is, we were double dipping as this was actually dinner that night. Perhaps the best cooking videos are not to be eaten. It takes too long to record, but we'll get better.
