I was previously lamenting the fact this would be painted, preferring instead to have seen the original metal, polished and shiny. I gotta say though, I take it back! This is an absolutely _stunning_ piece, beautifully beautifully painted! David, you've excelled yourself. This is your magnum opus :)

Very nice indeed. Big, but not too big for a novice with novice equipment. Complicated, but just enough to be a challenge. Cheap enough to be within most budgets. You have excelled yourself on this one, best one yet, (the furnace is a close second, but that's just my opinion,) as it is all fantastic. After, or perhaps instead of those temporary Velcro cladding bands, try tying the string hold downs with a clove hitch knot? It has the useful ability to clamp things down progressively and was used extensively to lightly clamp things before someone invented plastic cable ties. They undo very easily as well.

@Re_Kitty

+James76 no... its a well known set of rules for filmmaking... things develop and change too slowly on his videos. I'd skip 10 minutes at a time and its like the same scene over and over...

@byjingobob

Sorry Re, but I like the real time construction, and regarding no talking, there are far too many videos on here where the person spends more time telling us what they are going to do rather than just getting on with it. I for one like the format.
@thisnicklldo
8 жыл бұрын
Just the 'good and cool bits' eh? So you like football with just the goals - not all the goals of course, just the spectacular goals, and not all of those, just the bit where the ball actually crosses the line. And cricket with just the sixes, baseball with just the home runs - not the actual run round the bases, that's too boring, just the actual slog. And just the explosions in the movies. Just the final chord of the symphony. Not the whole of the Mona Lisa, just the smile. It's the context that creates the 'good bits'. Obviously.
@Re_Kitty
8 жыл бұрын
no, nothing like that at all thats stupid, there's no point in illustrating the process of turning every single bolt, and having such slow developments that you skip to 1 hour later and nothing has changed, even skipping to the next video and barely anything has changed
