Ingredients
Boiled rice 2 cups
Oil 2 tbsp
Cumin seeds 1/4 tsp
Black pepper corns 4-5
Cinnamon stick 1
Cloves 2-3
1/3 cup brown onion (fried)
1 onion finely chopped
tomatoes 2 finely chopped
Coriander 1/3 cup
Mint 1/3 cup
salt to taste
red chili powder 1 tsp
turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
crushed coriander seeds 1 tsp
garam masala 1/2 tsp
water 1/4 cup
1 knorr cube (of your choice)
yogurt 1/4 cup
mint, coriander, nutmeg powder (1/4 tsp) and fried onions for garnishing
- Add oil in a pot and add Cumin seeds, Black pepper corns, Cinnamon stick,
Cloves and brown onion (fried) and fry for 1-2 mins.
- Now add onion finely chopped, tomatoes, Coriander, Mint, salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, crushed coriander seeds, garam masala, water 1/4 cup and 1 knorr cube and cook them for 2-3 mins until oil leaves the gravy.
- Now add yogurt and cook for another 2 mins.
- For assembly put a layer of boiled rice topped with prepared masala and repeat the process twice.
- Put coriander, mint, nutmeg powder and fried onions on top and cover the lid and cook the rice on low flame for 8-10 mins.
