John, your videos are so easy to learn from for a beginner like me. No necessary words, to the point, good visual on the fingers, no excess stuff you have to wait through. Thanks.

Hi Bob, The basic strum pattern is: down, down, down up , down. Counting, 1, 2, 3& 4, the & being the upstroke. There are a few variations, but this should get you started. Have fun. --JC

Nice video. So, if i play a solo in that "song" in the scale of G, it going to be sound...wright? Am asking because i have know idea about music or theory etc.
@jcurtis30water
9 жыл бұрын
SerasBassPlayer Yes, I would use a G minor pentatonic scale: G, Bb, C, D, F. This scale works well with blues and its easy to learn. I all you know is a G scale, give it a try, see if you like it.

@wreford07

F# dim is what you're playing?
@jcurtis30water
7 жыл бұрын
I'm holding down the G and E strings on the second fret which gives you: A, C, F#, A . This can be either an Am6 or a D7, or an F#dim. You don't always need to have the root in the chord. I could hold down the G,C&E strings on the 2nd fret and then add the 3rd fret on the A string to get the C note to create a D7, but that is a more difficult fingering and I'm trying to keep it simple. Note the title: Simple ukulele blues.
