Just an FYI for everyone. These Mods are for looks and personal preferences. My RPR Gen2 308 and my RPR 22lr are highly accurate out of the box 👍👌 I topped them with a matching set of Riton 6-24 Scopes and a bubble. Riton Scopes are made in the USA 🇺🇸 by Veterans and have very high quality Japanese glass in them 👌

Gentlemen, you can run the PRS stock Gen3 without having to change the buffer tube. The Gen3 will fit the carbine buffer tube.

My Gen 3 Magpul PRS stock came with everything needed to fit either a rifle or a carbine length buffer tube.
I just got mine somewhat recently in 300 win mag, and I love it's look with that muzzle break. But I really love the look of yours with those pieces swapped! Badass!

The process here was streamlined a bit taking off the Ruger factory stock. It’s a bit more involved than how it was shown. Also, removing the buffer tube is a bit more complicated than what’s in the video. Figuring it out is fairly easy but if you watch the video before you begin the project thinking you’ll finish quickly (as in a few minutes) but it takes a bit longer. Great for sales (sold me) but frustrating to the user.

I just received my RPR 338 LM with the bolt unattached and the stock not folded. But when I press the button to fold the stock, nothing happens. It doesn't even budge. Any ideas what I need to do to get the stock folded so I can carve out a Pelican case for it. Unfolded, it won't fit inside the case, but folded, it will. Help please.

OUTSTANDING The one word that tells about your show. I was just looking and found your show it took about one min for me to decide to subscribe to two things on can you get in black and will the stock work on 338Lupua ???

Thanks for the subscription. Here is what I found on the Ruger website: "Ruger Precision® MSR stock features a bottom Picatinny rail and soft rubber butt pad. The left-folding stock hinge accepts any AR-style stock." Sounds to me like the Magpul PRS Stock will work. And it's available in black.

Here's what I found on the Ruger Precision Rifle website regarding the rifle chambered in .338 Lapua: "The left-folding stock hinge accepts any AR-style stock." So the Magpul PRS stock will work on your platform.

I'm new to this whole customization thing. How do you know what kind of handgrip can go on your rifle? I'd prefer a handgrip like the MOE k2, but I don't know enough to know what to look for when shopping handgrips. Specifically, how do you know something will fit on your gun?

The Ruger precision rifle uses AR compatible grips. So anything that works on an AR will work on the RPR.

Yeah changing the bolt shroud along will make it a sup zero Weapon... But changing the free float tube..! Thats just Adding More Accuracy to the Weapon... there's probably No Ammo that will be capable of matching the Over Accuracy of The Rife Now...

I had the same question as you did, regarding the information to purchase the rifle-length buffer tube. The maker of the video did not yet respond to me either. In the mean time, I did some research. I found a rifle-length buffer tube that looks exactly like the one he used. It can be purchased from Optics Planet. www.opticsplanet.com/aero-precision-ar15-ar10-rifle-buffer-tube.html. I am sure you can get it at other gun parts dealers also.

there are only 3 things you need for a tack driver , butt stock color nope , pistol grip brand nope , harris 200 dollar bipod dont be silly , dont pour money into your toy , even the receiver dont mean that much ! its the barrel the trigger and the load you can strap that to a tree ! and it will still shoot the same !

For the record, I never said these modifications would make the rifle more accurate. And I'm not sure how we'd operate a gear review site if we didn't actually try new shit. Maybe you missed the article where we installed a Proof barrel. But thanks for your helpful comment anyway.

Nothing wrong with the RPR. We just made a few upgrades. And it's a gear review site. So we use gear and review it. No one said it was either necessary or fixing anything. The RPR is one of the best values right out of the box. This is to inform potential buyers or users how a few of the aftermarket pieces interact. It's just information.

It’s not “up” grades The rifle is fine the way it is out of the box. People just want something different , Upgrade makes something better, these changes aren’t making anything better only different, the rifle will still shoot and operated the exact same

I opted for a $400 Savage 12 in .223, and a $250 Boydes At-One stock (thumbhole). With a $270 Argos 6-24 optic I'm getting sub 1" groups at 400 yds with 75gr Hdy A-max and 25.3 gr of N540 seated 0.010 off the lands. For a cheap setup, I'm happy with it, but I think a better optic would increase the rifle's potential. To each their own.
