Love the 'Pratice Makes Progress' because we shouldn't pressure ourselves for perfection... it suppose to be fun & relaxing, at least to me. Let us Zen at the paint pad...?

I just to thank you for your generosity in sharing your knowledge. I am a retired teacher, a Liberal Studies major. I know art analysis, but little about process. You are making my retirement fun! You are doing a service. I bought both your books and am looking forward to your third!

I love how these exercises are so approachable but still result into something so pretty. Plus you clearly gave it thought so that the first painting is the easiest to get into, and it progresses from there. Making this an ideal trio to paint in one session. Thank you so much!

The strokes at first I think they have nothing to do with each other, but when you finish the picture it becomes very wonderful, everything connects, connects together to create very beautiful pictures. Your video is really helpful to me, thanks for your sharing.

Thank you so much for this. I am a super newbie to art as in I've painted one silly little tree of sorts. If I paint any of this am I allowed to share? Some tuts don't allow so must ask. Btw I live in in a desert town in SoCal and the valley has palms everywhere (not Palm Springs...sigh) and beautiful desert sunsets. I miss traveling the PCH....it's been quite awhile. Tfs

Thank you so much for helping others to learn!! Your paintings are beautiful!! Do I need to get a certain brand of watercolor paint? I like the pallets the most I think but I started out with simple Crayola lol. Planning a trip to Hobby Lobby this weekend and hoping you could give a few pointers on choosing paint? I would greatly appreciate any advice what so ever. I have learned that 100% cotton paper is going to be the best to use.

Hey Jenna, is there any technique to keep the paper wet while using paper made out of wood? I use strathmore 400 series paper, I don’t use watercolor paper made of cotton because the are kinda expensive

Is there a reason why the palm trees are black and not in color?
@JennaRaineyChannel
2 жыл бұрын
If you picture looking at palm trees towards an evening sunset, with the sun behind, those trees (especially if they're slightly in the distance) will be quite dark, appearing almost black.
