Not sure if my friend was full of BS or what but he mentioned using an Arduino board, a Crystal oscillator and a 9v battery and made a RF jammer that randomly jumped frequencies 1000s of times a second. It jumped around so much it was essentially a wide band frequency jammer. Everytime I ask him how to make it he says he’ll pull up schematics then never gets back to me.

Mega ciekawy i pomocny film! ;) Przy okazji pozwolę sobię zadać parę pytań: 1. W swojej pierwszej wersji jammera używałeś sinusa do generowania sygnału.

Musialem go zatem bardziej skierować w stronę mikrofonu. ad.3. Impedancja pojedynczego przetwornika w stanie rezonansu na 25kHz to około 400Ohm. Łącząc je równolegle odpowiednio ją zmniejszasz

Interesting. But one question arises for me, "why not use a HC-SR04 module"? OK: It is a proximity sensor but something can definitely be done. My problem is the following: my neighbors talk quietly at night and I can hear them whispering and it annoys me excruciatingly .... . Then when (only once a year) they put the hifi on full blast, I can counter the sound coming from their speakers and maybe be able to impose the music I want to annoy them. I have not been able to act as I would like for years and have to defend myself in every way allowed by the Law. I stand by. Thank you very much.

Pozdrawiam serdecznie
@justanengineer5599

Czesc AD.1 to pytanie bardziej z zakresu biologii.

@justanengineer5599

Hi. All 25kHz transducers are suitable. To increase the range better amplification module should be used. Effectivenes of jamming depends on quality of microphone that was used in the smartphone as well as its design. For better results some better micrococontroller / chip should be used with higher clock (current is 16.5MHz) because ATTINY85 does not allow for bigger frequency deviation steps than 0.4kHz in this source code. So currently 'the noise' is random value from the range like 23kHz, 23.4 , 23.8 , 24.2 ,24.6, 25.0, 25.4, 25.8, 26.2, 26.6 , 27.0 kHz. You may want to change it for example to Port C and Pins 14,15,16 (PC0,PC1,PC2): #define OUTPUTPORT PORTC #define OUTPUTPORTCTRL DDRC Remember that then port PC0 will be GND for PAM8403, and port PC1 & PC2 will be Left and Right signal source.

@justanengineer5599

hello, you need to attach at least 10 transducers in parallel per each audio channel of PAM8403 module. The point is that when 10 transducers are connected in parralel the total impedance is around 40 Ohm which suits PAM module. Also make sure that audio signal coming out of Digispark (P1/P2 line and P0 as GND) is attached correctly to PAM8403 audio inputs and it has exactly 25kHZ peak (use some osciloscope or Spectroid app to confirm it) because some Digisparks may have different clock due to internal RC clock components tollerance and tuning source code may be needed (changing 48 value in the source code to something smaller/higher). Remember that this device works well on low-mid range phones and chineese spy gadgets. It may not jam well iPhones and high end Samsung devices because they have better microphones and kind of noise cancelling DSP software implemented

For high end phones more powerful PAM module should be used - look for something 15W like PAM8320 or PAM8406 at least. Remember to power your Digispark from USB not Vin pin (because you will kill voltage regulator when you connect PAM module). The other thing is that my design is cheap and has some limitations. It only jumps betwen frequencies 23-27 with Nx0.4kHz intervals because of too low clock of ATTINY85 chip. Faster chip with much higher clock would be needed to improve this project.

@@markmikhail4279 Digispark pin P0 is the GND line for both Left and Right Audio channels for all PAM amplifiers. P1 is Left audio IN, P2 is Right audio in. You simply have to attach all PAM amplifiers in the same way to single Digispark module

Hello, the "microphone overload"... let's say the really bad guys who can get a microphone that is insensitive to overload because it is only sensitive to frequencies under approx. 20kHz, then the effect is gone ? What does that even mean "overloaded" physically?
@justanengineer5599

overload means you fire 120dB audio wave into the microphone. Even if it does not fully resonate with 25kHz it will deteriorate sensitivity of this microphone. Especially if you are using 2x15Watt audio amplifier to drive 50+ transducers

it sometimes happens with new USB ports. You may try to use USB hub/cable extender or even upload new bootloader to the board with USBASP programmer like I am showing here in this video kzitem.info/news/bejne/u4aXm32EiICTaqg

i was not going to explain it for 1000 time, but let it be - the jammer is directional means you have to point it to the microphone. The camera mic was at 90 degress angle - got it?

isn't it audible for humans?

Depends.. children can hear it a little. Especially when you drive ultrasonic transducers with square wave instead of sinusoidal wave. But people over 40 can barely hear it
