Four dorms at Rutgers were upgraded with 4903 speaker strobes over several years in the mid-late '90s. I can tell the order they were upgraded in based on a couple factors such as smoke detectors. I noticed that the oldest of the systems had slow-flashing strobes like this one, while the second-oldest had very fast ones on the other hand (maybe something like 90 FPM?). The newest one had a normal flash rate (not sure about the second-newest one, but I'm guessing it did too).

Updates prior to this video: -I have found out simplex offers an option to choose between 24 FPM or a 60 FPM. The 24 version was quickly discounted due to it not complying with a new fire alarm code standards after 95 requiring strobes to flash at 60 FPM. -There is a lack for 60 FPM and only 24 FPM option for earlier 4904 generation which was produced in 1993. -Simplex tends to inaccurately print the date on their stickers and it seems to be case for the 9202s. The shell case indicated that it was made in July of 94 and no more or less from that date. -from the manual, it seems the 24 FPM option was limited and not a lot to it. Only noticable difference I can indicate is there's is no white versions of the 24 FPM models -from the strobe being available in 1993, it also might of explained why there is a simplex 4903-9101 on a 4901-9805 combination which is pretty rare to see. -if find anymore information on this, I'll update this pinned comment.

Cool! This is rare, it's like an early version of the 9217. It's like a more odd and different version.
