Great Tips Darrell, and also 10/10 for the Editing Skills - those edits take some time, so thanks for your hard work in making it easy to follow! 😀 I do hope that these improvements make into Mac OSX one day, but I have my doubts on that. Also, just sharing the window makes it much more professional, as it prevents the additional problem of opening up your e-mails or teams messages - or having notifications appear in the screen share from contacts who can bypass your 'DND' Status 😀

Thank you Scott 😄. I also like to share a window so I can get my audience to focus on one app. There will still be times to share a full desktop, like when desktop features are the focus.

Much smoother! Thank you for sharing it. It's a pity when re-sharing Powerpoint, it didn't give you the option to go straight to PowerPoint live.. and even better, how about a "Continue in PowerPoint live from where I was" button. 😎

I’d like to see those changes in resuming the PowerPoint presentation too. Great idea 💡

Hi Darrell, thanks for this video. We love the PowerPoint Live feature for webinars (especially when the presentation includes multiple presenters), but a major issue is that only the "Content only" presenter mode is available (no Standout, Side-by-side, or Reporter). This is a major issue for us because we do not want attendees to see each other. We only want the attendees to see the presenters (ideally the person that is presenting). So the only option we have is either everyone to be seen or no one to be seen, including the presenters when they present. Do you know when this issue will be resolved by Teams? Unfortunately, we're at the point where we may have to switch back to Zoom because of this issue. Thanks.

Wow, that's really awesome! Do you have to be on Win11 to have this option?

unfortunately I think you should. I tried to test it on Win 10 and it doesn't work. I tried on new and old version of Teams and I also doesn't matter if you have win below 11

Just share the entire desktop so you can switch between apps. What is the issue with that? What are you hiding? Maybe close private stuff before presenting

There are two common scenarios that I use a shared window instead of a desktop. 1. I want the audience to focus on the app I’m showing them. Not the OS. 2. When I’m presenting / demonstrating from 1 screen and I want to refer to notes. It also reduces the risk of over-sharing. Yes, if we are organised, we can hide or close all the other windows, turn off notifications, set to Do Not Disturb. But if we want to share a window quickly with a colleague or client, we can use this feature.

Also if you have a 4k screen and your viewer only has a 1080p screen it will look tiny on that screen. Sharing a window negates this issues. Also teams doesn't let you chose part of a screen either.
