Having specific words to express exactly how you feel on the inside is very important to understanding yourself and being comfortable in your own life. For the longest time, I didn’t understand that I was asexual and continuously pushed myself to engage in sex - something that I felt was expected of me because that is what society says I have to do when in a relationship. However, when I learned about asexuality, I finally had a word to describe the complex feelings I had around the act of physical intimacy, and why I would be pushed to tears after sex or why I had to consistently get drunk in order to just engage in sex even with someone that I loved. The amount of relief that I experienced finally having a word to explain my complex emotions was unexplainable. Having these classifications is very valuable for many people.

To answer Satch's amusing yapping, the purpose of all these flags is to identify groups within a group. We have the rainbow flag to represent LGBT+ as a whole, and other flags to represent different groupings within that label. Unless a person is within a certain group, they don't need to know a particular flag. The common person isn't expected to know all the different flags, but they know 🌈 = LGBT. Think of it like sports jerseys. The common person displaying a sports jersey of Team 1, the common person thinks "okay that person is a sports fan". A sports fan would think "Ooh! A Team 1 fan! We can talk about sports". And Team 1 fan will think "Omg someone like me!"

Other simmers they clutter the heck out of their houses and while it looks great and I like to watch them, the way you do it feels much more realistic, like the phone on the bed, a (not)storage room, less clutter in the kitchen as you usually need more space to prep. Idk, it's something different and not just all about the visual aspect. I really like it, I'll look forward for some more of these.

I’m by no means attacking you on this. I love your content. But I think the internet has a bad way of explaining Asexual. It’s different for everyone. Being Ace “every color” supposedly represents a different level of attraction. As in drive. So yes I find people attractive sometimes. But body parts I do not. So face and body can be attractive. But as soon as it gets to anything sexual I am not attracted. Like we still have sex drives… toys from the back wall of Spencer’s is a thing. It’s overall hard to explain. And everyone is different.

So I'm a trans-masc agender person who's panromantic and greysexual, but I usually just say that I'm a pansexual trans guy to most of the people I meet and who aren't my close friends, cause I just don't want to bother explaining all of that stuff every time and it wouldn't matter any way in 99,9% of interactions with these people. Finding my labels was mostly useful for understanding myself and to explain what I am to people who are interested in me romantically or sexually. So it might be possible that you know a lot of people like these and just don't know about that. Oh and I like these interior designs 😁

Asexual here! Asexual can feel romantic attraction, or not (when they don't, they're called AroAce, which you've already talked about.) It doesn't exactly have anything to do with sex drive. For example, an asexual person can have a sex drive, but might not feel the want to act on it. Some will feel repulsed by the idea of having sex with people, but will be fine going solo. Some in a romantic relationship might act on it because they like their partners. Basically, imagine you're at a restaurant. You're hungry, but theres nothing in the menu that you really enjoy or feel loke eating. This is what being asexual with a sex drive feels like. An asexual with a low sex drive is simply not hungry. Meanwhile, some will occasionally get a craving for something on the menu, even if they are generally not hungry. This is a sub label called greysexual. Some only have one item on the whole menu they like, and they stick to it at all time. It's kind of their comfort food, and they've come to like it after a long time. This is being demi sexual. Hope this was easy to understand!

I really appreciate Satch wanting to make an effort to educate himself even if he doesn’t totally understand them. And I totally get what you mean when you say you don’t identify as a gender you just are who you are. I think the labels are great, and if you find a very niche one that you feel perfectly fits you, that’s great! But I think sometimes the lgbt community can put so much pressure on labels, when they’re not necessary, they’re just a tool that is optional if you want it. Personally I love the word queer for that reason, because it can mean literally whatever you want and it can mean multiple things as well. And don’t worry, I think a lot of people in the lgbt community don’t understand all the labels, but a lot of people don’t want to admit it. I don’t think anyone can fault you for not understanding all of them right away, it’s not like i understand that I was bi and what that meant right away, it took me years to understand that for myself. The fact that you want to make the effort and learn and the fact that you respect other people how they are is all that matters.

I, personally, am nonbinary and aroac; My pronouns are they/them. For me, this means that I do not feel like a man or a woman, I feel uncomfortable being regarded as either and experience gender dysphoria (a kind of discomfort relating specifically to my gender) about aspects of my body that make me be viewed as female, like my chest. I wish for some masculine features like a beard, a flat chest or a deep voice but am happy with not having others, like a penis. Though these things are physical, a big part of my dysphoria stems from social interaction - being referred to using she/her pronouns, being called a girl or a woman or lady or knowing that, when people look at me, they see someone female first and foremost, which makes me feel uncomfortable. Being aroace, for me, means simply that I cannot feel sexual attraction nor do I fall in love with people and I never have. I am also a sex-repulsed asexual, which is exactly what it sounds like: I feel repulsed by sex.

I have trouble telling how series he's being, but 1. Most people think the gay (rainbow) flag is the main flag for gay men, even though they have their own flag 2. The flag colors "clash" to show the spectrum of sexuality and gender identity. For example, the main lesbian flag used to be shades of pink, but that didn't represent butch and gender-nonconforming lesbians, so this new one has orange. 3. The rainbow flag is still used, but there are also flags for each individual sexuality/gender identity. 4. "Bear" is a type of gay man, not a type of gay attraction. 5. Bisexual means "two or more" while pansexual means "all". (Bisexual can mean "all," then it's just about label preference) 6. There's an aromantic flag and asexual flag, just not the one that symbolizes both

Bears: One of my friends ran the very first bear web site, and he had to come up with an official definition for "what is a bear?" for the site. It's defined as "a bear is a person who says they're a bear." So if you want to be a bear, all you have to do is say you're a bear. Yes really anyone. It doesn't matter if they're thin and hairless, it doesn't matter if they're a woman, if they say they're a bear, they're a bear.

bear is a decade old term ... and it very much is a sexual thing (like twink, but the opposite) however it has always had such a huge community and specialized bars/meet-ups that a flag was created! it's like an identification so they could be easier to find. possibly because there really was no online spaces for it yet the blue-green gay flag is very new and not really "official" as it was created by a random on tumblr in like 2019/2020. gay man communities usually just go with the regular rainbow flag or twink/bear/leather flags! lesbian have their own because it is just as old as the other flags and have been widely used historically

I do think, though, that it shouldn't be attached to homosexuality as much, because straight women can be butch and straight men can be twinks, yaknow?

A bisexual doesn't mind whether you are a man or a woman (and according to some, the central blended colour means they don't mind if you are a flavour of nonbinary either). Hi. I'm neither bisexual nor pansexual so I hope what I'm about to say is correct. Bisexuality is the sexual attraction to cis men and women. Pansexuality is sexual attraction to all genders (trans, cis, nonbinary etc). The term I've heard them use is that they're into "hearts, not parts".

I’m not spokesman on gender issues, but I believe genderfluid is not when you _do_ something that is considered masculine or feminine. It’s more about how you actually identify yourself, how you feel on the inside. And it’s not necessary two basic genders (male/female). But that’s info I’ve gathered trough years. I think actual genderfluid people will explain it better.)
@sternentigerkatze

Hi, genderfluid enby here! You got that right; there are three dimensions: 1. sexual orientation/preference e.g. ace/allo, gay, bi etc., 2. gender e.g. trans-/cis- male, female, enby, agender (all with loads of subcategories) and 3. gender expression = the way one dresses, talks, walks etc. 😊
