Awesome! It really gives you a good comparison between the 3DOF and the 6DOF. You can tell how differently they behave. There's nothing like trying them out, but if it's hard for you to do so (like in my case), you can get a glimpse of how they would feel.

Amazing work. I would love to know your thoughts on the stewart platform/hexapod design compared to the separated dofs/axes like the trak racer and more common motion rigs. I spoke to an engineer or founder of Simcraft and he was adamant the separated axis designs were way better.

@@yoJuicy these are not easy to compare. Each system has its advantages. The hexapod has more fluid motion as there is less mechanics involved, and balanced motion range, making more fitting for VR use. But this also introduces bounce if the platform is not solid anchored to the floor. The quadpost in contrast is much lower and feels more comfortable as there is more space to spread the rig and allows easier ways of mounting curved screen or even triples. See each had its advantages but in the end the motion is very similar as you can see 😉

@yo.juicy I own a 6DOF & I have spent some time in the 4DOF.. Benefits to both, personally I think I like the 6 a little better. But I like dirt rally, and I think that suits this platform better.
