For anyone doesn’t know the director or anything about him, short story: His 2 year old boy has congenital heart disease and his wife quit everything to be his full time care taker. He arranged this piece and FaceTimed her during this and we sang to her. If that’s not romantic I don’t know what is. #TakeNotesBoys 😂

Sometimes my phone will land on one of the practice tracks when it's on shuffle, and I still remember every word and harmony (except for Mount of Olives HOO BOY) but finding this was so, SO refreshing and honestly necessary for me; my self esteem as a performer has been lower than it's ever been recently... Being a part of such an extraordinary experience helped bring it back.

Choirs of this magnitude are capable of seemingly impossible feats. 12 hours is quite a long time for a choir that already has such a unified dynamic and whose members can all read music. I was in an all state choir in both Idaho and there really is nothing that a choir like these guys CAN’T do.

I was in the women's group this year, and everyone went through at least 2 auditions to get to all state, and we were required to memorize 6 pieces of music in about 2 months. In the case of the women's group, we learned 2 Russian, 2 Latin, and 2 English pieces. It is a tedious process, but so so worth it, as you can see from this video. I loved all state so much! ❤
