Any band that qualifies for the European has a real chance of winning - we certainly won't be underestimating anyone!

Don is a true Cory legend and is very fondly remembered. He had a hand in teaching all three of our present trombone section!

This is magnificent! Never thought I'd hear a brass band get close to the original benny goodman version for swing, but this lot do it. Magnificent ensemble playing by all, and that drummer is just fantastic! Gene Krupa would, I am sure, approve!

Trumpets would sound like a car crash. Brass bands use cornets with good reason; the sound is much more variable.

@gaemp yeah well it is a brass band, i think its good to have cornets in a large number like this, trumpets in this number wouldnt sound as good. but this kinda music is definetly for the cylindrical

As far as the drumming goes, Im surprised with the placement. Ive seen the set in the center before, just never in front of the ensemble. Also, the kit you use is pretty cool. Im guessing an 18 inch bass and corresponding measurements? Im a fan of the ebony heads!

Trumpets do not fit in with a european style Brass Band. Completely different sound and technique. I play both trumpet and cornet and i do prefer playing trumpet but it really doesn't sound right.
