Coach, I am a 72 year old male from Tennessee, USA. My area is very hilly and most rides range from 4-18% climb, with most rides including lots of climbs. I found you on Utube the first of this year. I am bikes for many years. But I have always thought you are never to old to learn new ideas. I was impressed with all your training and use of torque. The first of this year, I changed my body posture and began to use all your techniques of torque. My average ride is about 32-35 miles (just over 50 KM). My average cadence is 60, And depending on temperature and climbing my average heart rate falls between 130-135. Maximum HR on steep climbs will sometimes go to 165 for a brief moment. The results from my using your training: I have gotten faster overall. We have lots of urban stop and go so that reduces average speed. If not for the urban traffic, my average speed in my hilly terrain would be closer to 15 MPH (25-26 KM). My average heart rate had dropped on all rides. My stamina is better. And on all but the very steepest climbs, I have managed to do all climbs in the big ring. I have a Trek Domane with a 54/30 and 11/28 cassette. My friends my age cannot believe I have been climbing in the big ring. Again, I have enjoyed watching all your video. I am a fan from Knoxville, TN, USA. Best to you. (Bill Ball)

Thank you so much for reaching out and sharing your incredible journey with me. It is truly inspiring to see how you have embraced the idea that one is never too old to learn new ideas. Your dedication and commitment to implementing the training techniques I shared in my videos are truly commendable. I am thrilled to hear about the breakthroughs you have made in your cycling journey. Here are the key points highlighting what you have done right: - Embracing proper body posture and utilizing torque: Your decision to change your body posture and employ the techniques of torque has had a significant impact on your performance. - Increased overall speed: It is impressive to hear that you have become faster overall despite your challenging hilly terrain and the urban stop-and-go traffic in your area. - Improved average heart rate: Your average heart rate has decreased on all rides, indicating improved cardiovascular fitness and endurance. - Enhanced stamina: Your overall stamina has improved, allowing you to tackle even the steepest climbs with confidence. - Climbing in the big ring: Your ability to conquer all but the steepest climbs using the big ring on your Trek Domane is truly impressive and a testament to your progress on your Torque effectiveness It means a lot to me that you have enjoyed watching my videos and have become a fan. Your appreciation motivates me to continue creating free learning content to help cyclists like you around the world. Regarding our presence in Singapore and offering free consultations, it is because you watched the episode of our Singapore Biomechanics Workshops that highlighted the importance of proper technique and body mechanics in cycling. We recognized the need to provide additional support and guidance to enthusiasts like yourself, and thus decided to provide free consultations in Singapore. Thank you once again for sharing your incredible journey, Bill. You are a shining example of how dedication, a thirst for knowledge, and a love for cycling can lead to remarkable accomplishments. Keep up the fantastic work!
