Came too late and arrived right as Parent was feeding seaglets.
Highlights:
0:00 Parent (seems like Dad based on the honking) feeding fish to seaglets
3:20 Parent picks up fish, flies to side branch & self feeds
6:35 Parent moves out further on side branch, wipes beak on branches
20:40 Seaglet moves to left side of the nest - note the massive crop.
25:00 Seaglet lies down
36:50 Parent flies off & starts honking. You can hear both parents honking. Likely there is an intruder. Due to the narrow field of view from Block 98, it is not possible to see the intruder. The parents are also likely hiding behind leaves so cannot be seen.
38:20 Seaglet Poop Shoot
Our Seaglets are well fed! Due to the hot sun, there aren't many wingers now. They will wingercize more in the evening. Interestingly, they aren't napping although there's literally nothing for them to do.
Who could the intruder be? I don't have confirmed footage yet, but other birders report that the intruder may be another WBSE. The most likely suspects are another WBSE or a Brahminy Kite, which has been seen. Owls and peregrine falcons are unlikely as there are no known families in the Bedok North area. No Oriental Honey Buzzards have been seen in the last few weeks, and WBSE generally didn't bother when they saw one in December.
White Bellied Sea Eagles are the biggest raptors in Singapore.
Many thanks to the residents of Bedok North Block 98 for allowing us to use their corridor to film this, and other birders from Bedok North for sharing information. I concentrate on providing raw footage so that more informed people can use it for conservation efforts.
