Well my son is almost 21 i was a single dad to him as well as 4 siblings . so I was 19 when i officially became the guardian to my siblings. And raised them all myself . I worked my tail off to provide a great life for them all . they all finished school most of them graduated college . have families of they're own now. When many thought i was too young to do the job. My son is the last 1 left in the nest but I can say I earned the respect of them all by leading by example at such a young age myself. But ai was determined to keep my siblings together inside the family . when nobody else stepped up to save them. I worked 80 hours a week most weeks or worked 20 days no days off . napping whenever possible . transporting kids to an from 4 different schools daily and paying for daycare for my son who was 2 at the time . all while caring for my aging sick grandma till her last breath. She instilled the work ethics and drive in me growing up. As well as compassion and empathy towards everyone family or not. I say this not for any praise . but to help break the mold that guys cant be good father's especially blk men. Im proof it can be done.

So there's a lot more to the story than this. I read an article about them a few months ago. Tony had been adopted as a young child, but they abandoned him at a hospital 7 years later. Peter had actually just had 3 foster boys he'd cared for for several months leave because they were able to go back to their parents. It was emotionally taxing and he felt like he needed a break for awhile. When the caseworker reached out to him, she had to really talk him into just the two days by explaining there was literally nowhere else for him to go. When he arrived, Tony immediately wanted to call him dad, and he won his way quite quickly into Peter's heart.

Omg, I've met Peter. He came to Brazil on a trip with Compassion - a beautiful NGO whose goal is to "save children from poverty in the name of Jesus". They supports children in poverty by connecting them to sponsors from wealthier countries and provide them with education, food, access to culture and medical care. It's a beautiful work. It's no surprise Peter would have the heart to adopt a child. God bless your heart, Peter, and your family! ❤️

@aureliandrade

@@googleisdumb2557 hey, so Compassion is a NGO that connects sponsors, normally from wealthier countries, to children living in vulnerable areas of Latin America, Africa and Asia. To sponsor a child, you should get in contact with the Compassion office in your country and they will explain how it works. Sponsors and children are able to communicate through letters, which sounds old-fashioned, but it is the most efficient way for the NGO to protect both our children and the sponsors. The sponsorship one child will inderectly benefit other 3 children in the same center.

This can really make a huge difference in a kids life. I was adopted at birth, my biological mother was 17 when she had me. She had been removed from an abusive home and placed in foster care when she was around 11 years old. She was then molested in every home she went to, including when she was fostered by her english teacher from her school. She took her own life at the age of 25. One year before we tracked down my blood family so I will never meet my mother. If she had been taken in by just ONE good person instead of a series of predators she might have lived long enough for me to have found her. So I watch this and it breaks my heart but it fills the cracks with joy and appreciation for Peter Mutabazi and others like him. The foster systems need more good people like him.
