Longtime sinus and allergy sufferer, here. The best thing that I did was get allergy shots! I no longer need any medication during Spring. None. I suffered needlessly for 40 years. However, I still get sinus pressure and pain, with blocked ears due to weather changes. I have to take Mucinex to help drain my eustachian tubes and sinuses. I use saline spray and Azelastine spray to reduce nasal swelling, and that really helps my sinuses drain. I also use massages for my clogged ears and it really helps to drain them. Most of my sinus pain and pressure isn’t due to allergies at all, and I’ve argued with an ENT about that. My allergist understood this, but the ENT didn’t. My sinuses have been affected by weather since I was a teen, and I used to take a lot of Sudafed for relief. I no longer take it, and the other methods have worked. When the pressure gets bad, I have to use a cold pack on the top of my head to relieve the pain. I keep them in the freezer at all times.

This is really interesting. Thanks for sharing this! That's good to know about the allergy shots helping. Years ago I used to take Mucinex D also, or Sudafed. They both really helped me a lot. Have you ever been diagnosed with vasomotor rhinitis? It sounds like our issues are really similar and I too have had problems in the past with my ear/eustachian tubes. My sinuses are also really impacted by the weather changes. Long ago I was told I had vasomotor rhinitis. But, I also seem to react when there is really high pollen here.

I was reviewing NMN and watched one of your videos. Now you are all over my feed which is great. The quality of your videos is excellent! I really like the transitions to different video clips with sound effects while you add voice over the top. Really high quality! Anyway, I used to get 4 shots every 3 weeks during ragweed season. I have been able to get off the shots, Benadryl and Clairton D by switching to a mostly animal based diet with lots of grass fed beef. I use quercetin too. But I get it from something called Saphora Japonica. Its the flower that they make quercetin from. I think it works better in whole herb form than a pill. I also use Umcka. Its by Nature's Way and works great too. Keep up the great videos!

Thank you so much, Keith. I really appreciate the feedback on the videos. And, that's great to hear you're off of the allergy shots! The diet can make such a huge difference. I am going to look into Saphora Japonica - thanks for sharing that. I'd prefer to take the better version. I'll look into Umcka too. Many years ago I had all these sinus problems totally under control too, when I started to change my diet and bought an air purifier and robotic vacuum, etc. But, over the last couple years at my home in the woods, the air quality + high pollen levels have been kind of brutal on everyone (mostly in the summer), including my poor cat. I love the summer, but the winter will be a nice relief from it all.

Hi Holly, this has been the worst summer for me with allergies in sev yrs. Especially my eyes and sinuses. I use to have to take 4 allergy shots twice a week. And stopped eating everything I was so highly allergic to for 3 months, then the Allergist wanted me to introduce one food at a time for one week and see what happened and wow, what an eye opener. But, during that 3 months I lost so much weight as I am so allergic to so many foods as well as outdoor. I am going to research the supplement you spoke of coquertin? Sorry I miss spelled. But anyways, thank you so much for toudching on these topics. I do live in an apt. Very pretty,yet have been fighting with Black Mold from flooding from heavy rains. I know without a doubt that this is the main reason iam struggling with inflammation in my eyes and sinusitis. I will be purchasing one of the two Air Purifiers you recommended. Thank You Holly and loved seeing and watching all the wildlife around you. I miss country life so much. This warmed my heart.

Hi Karla, I am sorry you're dealing with this too. I am not sure what's going on, but this year is really severe for my family too. For me, even though I first starting having problems 15 years ago, things were great until two years ago. Do you have "typical" allergy symptoms - or what are your worst issues with it? For me, I don't have typical sneezing, itchy eyes, etc. but I just get really swollen sinuses and really bad headaches and congestion/pressure. I had way worse issues about 15 years ago and like yourself, I started to change my diet and I saw great improvements. But, sometimes there are too many factors/stressors at once - like the last couple of years. And, it's hard for the body to handle all of it. The prior owner of the home I bought here - he moved away due to sinus and allergy issues. I didn't even hear him say that but my son reminded me recently. I am so sorry you're also dealing with mold issues. That is so horrible. Hopefully you can move out in the future or they can fix the issues which they are responsible for. Property owners should stay on top of these things or they could end up getting sued. I really hope things start to get better soon for you and it's interesting you have reactions to so many foods. I can definitely understand losing weight from these issues. It sounds like you have a good doctor helping you. And, the supplement that has helped me is Quercetin. Thank you so much for the comment on the wildlife. I love all the animals. :)

@@LifeDIY thank you Holly for the reply. That’s me also, I never sneeze, my eyes don’t itch, as soon as I go outdoors or start applying makeup, my eyes start running and burn as well as getting so red with so much sinus pressure. Your right, I have had it out ( kindly) with the office manager about them not doing what was promised and always lying to me just telling me what they think I want or need to hear. I had to pull the carpets away from the walls and move all my furniture out of my bedroom in order to treat and clean the excessive amnt of mold from water coming in from top of the window and from the foundation. I am in a Handicap Accessible apt. They are fairly New, beautiful, yet so so many problems that they do nothing to fix. I am researching to see what I can do to make them repair and fix the damages from outside inward. I noticed after the last hard rain, that once again water came in again and now mold is coming back. I know without a doubt that the mold is the biggest culprit of my symptoms. That’s me Holly, I love All Animals. I also have scorpion problems. They finally did send pest control to treat specifically for scorpions. Thank The Lord I’ve not had but one scorpion in the past 6 months. Holly, you are such a beautiful young lady and really enjoy your videos. Once again thank you for sharing more about your sinus problems and what you do to help alleviate them as best possible.

Karla, thank you for the kind comment and support. Thanks for taking the time to watch these videos. I really hope things improve for you and hope your landlord will get things fixed asap. You shouldn't have to deal with that. If you're doing research on things, you may want to try chatgpt - for quick answers and then you can look into them further. It helps me save time using it. The scorpion situation sounds horrible too, but I am glad they fixed it! I am currently dealing with a pest situation - related to mice getting in our home. We've lived here for 6 years and this is the first time we've ever had this issue and it's because I recently had an electrician who drilled a large hole in the wall and he didn't caulk or cover it. We have had a flood of mice since then. My son and I repaired the area but are still dealing with the mice. I am grateful my son is dealing with them more than me though. :)) I don't like hurting them but I also don't want to live among them!

best remedy for allergies is good feeding, I am cured of my breathing allergies since I put aside ultraprocessed food, now I can breath through my nose and I feel better, the best decision you can make is be aware about your food.

I totally agree with you that this can make a massive difference! Food choices can impact everything. People may not realize how much simple things can have a negative effect. Just as an example - if I eat peanuts, I immediately get arthritis-type pain in my finger, which I never normally have. It helps to keep track of food triggers. For me and my family though, even with eating super healthy we still have these allergy/sinus/histamine issues unfortunately. Sometimes the air quality/pollen is just too much.

I'll take your advice on the air purifiers and get one on black Friday. From what I've seen lately, histamine is an energy killer. I try to deal with it quicker now. The only thing I've added lately is nettle tea bags in my purple drink mix. Earthy taste and adds vitality. I think it does it by detoxing and antihistamine. The gut feelings channel-lady highly recommends nettle.

Hey Joe, thank you! I think I did record all the footage I shared. Last summer I went outside with my good camera/lens and was sitting out there and that's when I caught that clip of the turkeys and deer. They just did not care that I was sitting less than 10 feet from them. It was awesome as they're usually so afraid. But, many of the clips I tend to just use my cell phone so the quality isn't as good. :) Regarding the Shark 3-in-1, the fan isn't very powerful unless you turn it all the way up. The heater works better than the fan does. I feel like I need to bring it pretty close by to feel the fan working well. But, I still really like it.

Thanks! I would think it might too, but I haven't noticed any change unfortunately. The air quality/pollen here is really high. I started having sinus issues 15 yrs ago and it all greatly improved as I fixed my diet and kept the air as clean as possible. But then I moved and over the last two yrs, my sinus issues re-emerged, my cat got asthma, and my son started having the same problems. The prior homeowner moved away due to allergies and sinus issues. It is pretry rough here in the summer. A lot of these methods are helping but sometimes it gets bad Some of the air quality issues are due to smoke/fires in Canada.

Go you actually know what you're allergic to? I'm fighting with my pollen allergy now with a desensitizing therapy from 2 years now ...
@LifeDIY
9 күн бұрын
How's it going with the desensitizing therapy? That sounds interesting. What does it entail and has it helped? I should have given more details on my issues. Most of my problems (of sinus congestion/pressure/headaches) happen due to the poor air quality from the pollution that makes it way here from long distances. But, I do also have issues from certain tree pollens. I had allergy testing done on the skin and only showed a slight allergy to birch, but I still have strong reactions to tree pollen when the levels are high. My son has never had issues before (same with my cat) until we moved to the woods and now he gets headaches from it too, and now my cat has asthma. Luckily the cat's asthma is under control at the moment. The previous owner of this home moved out due to allergies. I find that the air purifiers help a lot, but it's still a problem. I'm having it today actually and the pollen levels aren't high but the air quality is "fair" and on accuweather it says sinus pressure is high.

@@LifeDIY I think.....things are really complicated regarding the topic of allergies and food intolerances. You might be right - I'm not completely sure if the tests represent the real situation 100% correctly. I have a bit of a stuffy nose and red spots on the skin for 2 months in the year when the pollens are high. My antibodies test over chart's scale when I do bloodwork. But I can easily live with no pills or sprays. This year it's over, no red spots, no stuffy nose, season is over. I'm starting my 3rd year of therapy and the stats say that at least 3years are needed to train and adapt you immune system to stop overreacting. So I have an improvement for the 2 years of therapy and absolutely no side effects, I'd recommend the try. I suspect that stomach permeability is main cause of most allergies and and knowing my history I probably have it. My plan is working on that and in parallel apply the therapy as one is not a risk factor for the other. Being healthy is very hard because of the scarce and conflicting information around....hope you're going to get better!
