My late mother in law disliked only fools and horses. When asked why she gave a great rundown on the dodgy antics of the characters especially what Dell boy got up to. Sir David has already done so many voices for cartoons from danger mouse to count duckula so i think a cartoon is the way forwatd. Sir David has said in this interview that his face has changed...but his voice hasnt! If kids see only fools in cartoon they might see the brilliant tv series and keep the magic alive instead of following alot of gems that have faded into the past tense like so many things have. Some might argue that 'today's standards' are quite similar to the standards of the green book he found. But apart from that observation, the thing I'd say about Del Boy is that he shouldn't be remembered just as David Jason's most famous 'comic' role, I'd also suggest it was his best dramatic role. People tend to forget the real pathos and true drama inserted but I think that's why it succeeded to such a degree.
