An other excellent and thought-provoking historical piece. Thanks, Guy

As a scholar who's written or edited a number of books about the Franklin story, I'm quite impressed by the grasp of the overall story here, and your ability to convey it with no visual aids -- indeed, it may be a warning to our times, in terms of trust in technology!

As a Canadian I have always been fascinated with the Franklin Expedition, and studied it all my life (I'm 70 now). You're right about technology; you can't predict anything for certain except "what can go wrong will". Regards from Canada 🇨🇦

Great to see another video. Oh, by the way, I just used your latest book, Pharaohs of the Sun, with my middle school history students (age 12-13) today, our vocabulary word for the day was "dynasty."

My wife is a cousin of the late William Battersby, author of “James Fitzjames: The Mystery Man of the Franklin Expedition”. He was equally gripped by the story of Erebus and Terror.

Superb combination of fascinating history with a clear warning to our times of overweening confidence in our current modelling and technology.

I wrote a screenplay based on this years ago, prior to the Dan Simmons novel. The research was fun - there are so many conspiracy theories about the voyage.
