I did a very British thing growing up back then. I disliked Nick without ever hearing him speak just because he was on top. In sport I loved the likes of Nigel Mansell, Frank Bruno and Jimmy White, the 'almost there' guys! Nick comes across well here, nice bloke

Despite winning the 1987 Open, Nick got some hate from the British press for playing 'safe', for playing 'conservative' when he shot par golf in the 3rd and 4th rounds. Idiots. You can never win.

41:45 Welcome to the age of caving in to pressure. When a network executive FORCES Faldo TO APOLOGIZE for impersonating a German accent. All because one single person complained. Talk about having no balls. Everyone thought it was hilarious except one person. This story is exactly why Kostis & McCord was fired. NOTE TO TV EXECS: Watching golf used to be awesome BECAUSE OF IT'S COLORFUL CAST OF CHARACTERS!

Faldo was ultra focused in his prime playing days giving the impression of aloofness. I see Tiger being exactly the same, they both intimidated other players. Get him of the course you see the guy he is in this interview. I personally prefer someone like Lee Trevino who had some fun on the course but you can't argue with Sir Nicks results.

A - I used to Hate Nick Faldo during his playing days for being so full of himself , he always came off as a Jerk , we had no idea how cool he was because he Never showed his human side until his broadcasting took off , all of that being his fault . . . As far as being the best broadcasting Duo Nick and Jim Nants are Great , but I think Dick Enberg with Johnny Miller is #1 of All times although Nick gets the edge on Johnny Miller with his Witty and Funny Sarcastic Comments B - Interviewing a legend Like Nick Faldo requires at least a Few Sessions of 2 hours each , Someone might think of doing it , the dude is a walking Golf Encyclopidic Anecdotal Legend . .
