I think the video does a fair job describing this day of sailing. Needless to say, I just did not see that freighter with being self-occupied and not being able to see through Dacron, even though I looked to the bridge and river mouth several times on the previous tack. If you watch closely you can just make out the white of the stern bridge moving against the backdrop of the skyline as she clears the bridge.
I did some online searching and went to a website - boatnerds.com - to ascertain the freighter that I encountered that day - I didn't take time to note the vessel name at the time. The time counter on the video was off due to changing a battery but I was still able to determine the freighter departing Lorain that day.
Slowly getting the Siren sorted, as I make mistakes later that I did not make earlier, such as not releasing the main sheet while hoisting the main - causing consternation as the tensioned leech loads then jams the mast track runners. (Prior to lengthening the topping lift to allow full sheeting of the main this was not an issue!) And focused on the changes to the rigging rather than on good seamanship. Oh well.
Sailed once more in October, with no video, then put the boat away for the season. Quite the gust-front hit during this sail, with little warning, to make things exciting for about 30 minutes. I should have given up on finishing my entry to the harbor to windward, and rode it out off-wind - and away from the harbor ... but I am stubborn! With a hankie piece of reefed jenny and a stowed main I tacked, back-winded, and jibed until things settled down. A reefed main would have been helpful for maintaining measurable headway, but gusts to 25 are a handful for this boat.
