During all of last week, all of Kentucky was bombarded with thunderstorm after thunderstorm. Sunday evening’s storms of which we're the worst of all, causing a Tornado Warning to be issued for southern Montgomery County. I was down at the Camargo Fire Station during this, but unfortunately was unable to catch any footage of the Sentry Siren sounding off for it, as it was activated late and we we're already getting swamped with calls for service. I was however able Monday evening to catch these surveillance recordings at my church in Winchester of a Severe Thunderstorm hitting the area as well as part of Montgomery County. Here, you can listen as Clark County's Whelen Vortex R4's sounded off in Alert mode twice for two Severe Thunderstorm Warnings. The closest of which can be heard at the neighboring school on Boone Avenue. I unfortunately was unable to catch both windup's since I started the recording immediately after I heard the DTMF activation codes go through my radio back at home. Hope you enjoy it! Also, I do have plans to eventually catch a siren test in Clark County of these Whelen Vortex's in the future.
