My mother was originally from Russia and she and my father only listened to classical music. One day, she saw this movie in HBO and she was so simply perplexed and hypnotized with the subject and specially with Whoopi Goldberg's role and acting that she ordered the DVD the following day. I remember her watching this movie with her and my father, time and again (!) and laughing to the point of tears in their eyes. They are both gone now, but I still remember those evenings with them.

I wish all churches were packed out like this. You cannot overvalue the positive contribution the churches make to our communities. Ask any mother who attends your local church mother and baby groups. Being a new mother can be very stressful and challenging and these groups help a great deal. I used to live with a born-again Christian. He used to work 8am to 4pm, He'd be home for 5pm. He'd then get a bite to eat and be in bed for 8pm. He'd wake up at 3am to watch the God channel on satellite TV until 7am when the work bus would pick him up. At weekends he'd go and spread the word of God Laugh all you want but after he left to go back to South Africa a bunch of parents turned up at our door. This guy had gone around getting teenagers who were doing drugs, gangs, prostitution, knives, etc and getting them to give up and go to church to volunteer. During the covid lockdown, these very same people who were criminals were doing deliveries to the elderly and sick. We miss him very much!

The greatest gift my mother gave me was introducing me to the Christian faith as a child. In college I strayed away from God and did what I thought was right in my own eyes. It all led to emptiness, but I found him again waiting for me ❤ to return once I realized this world has nothing to offer that's greater than God's love. I can truly testify to the absolute goodness & mercy of God. He remained faithful even when I wasn't. Never will I ever be ashamed of trusting & believing in the God of the Bible! My greatest joy now is teaching my daughter about the God. Hearing her love & enthusiasm for Christ amazes me. Thank you Mom!!

Delores is free from fear of the mob, the choir saved their convent, their church is majestic and beautiful, and their neighborhood community has come together to celebrate their love of God. I love him, I love him, I love him And where he goes I'll follow, I'll follow, I'll follow I will follow him. Follow him wherever He may go. There isn't an ocean too deep. A mountain so high it can keep. keep me away. follow him. Follow him wherever He may go. There isn't an ocean too deep. A mountain so high it can keep. keep us away. Away from his love. Oh yes I love him. I'm gonna follow He'll always be my true love. From now until forever, I love him, I love him, I love him, where he goes I'll follow. I will follow him. There isn't an ocean too deep. A mountain so high it can keep. keep us away. Away from his love.

I wanted to become a Catholic watching this movie, so I can see this kind of rendition at the church when I was a kid. Some movies were just more than movies. Church, Redemption, Forward-looking, great scripts and forever enshrined. I know they will make this movie again, but these were too good. I went to a Convent School as a child, and I thank Sis Mary, Marie, Magdalene of Maryhill Convent School, Ibadan Nigeria. Sisters dedicated to God and raising godly children. What a change we have in the world now...Amazing Grace.

My mother is our church's choir director and seeing Whoopi Goldberg reminds me of watching my mom.
I don’t know if you can read English, but the verses at the end of the video make it sound pretty simple. You gotta follow Jesus with your heart; and Revelation 3:20 says, “Behold I stand at the door and knock If anyone hears my voice I will come in and sup with him and he with me.” You basically have to invite Christ into your heart and accept Him as your Saviour and Lord. There’s a verse in Romans that says all have sinned and fell short of the glory of God. 1 John 1:9 says, “If confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

This is the ultimate definition of the perfect ending to a movie. Every plot line comes together with such great closure just in this one scene alone without any dialogue. Just through music.

Recuerdo fui a acompanarla.

She didn't create this song, it was composed by French composers Del Rome and J.W. Stole as an instrumental called CHARIOT. Petula Clark sang a version to which French lyrics were added by Jacques Plante, still titled CHARIOT. Lyricist Norman Gimbel ( "Killing Me Softly with His Song", "The Girl from Ipanema") wrote the English lyrics that became "I Will Follow Him". After being discovered at age 13, Little Peggy March recorded "I Will Follow Him" at age 14, which soared to No 1 on the Billboard charts. She is the youngest female recording artist (age 15) to have a No 1 hit on the Billboard charts, a record that has yet to be broken. Peggy March was born in Lansdale, PA and graduated from Lansdale Catholic High School. Lansdale is also the location of North Penn High School, from which John Oates of the famous Hall & Oates duo graduated from. Peggy March and John Oates both graduated in 1966, and are 71 years old. Philadelphia and the Delaware Valley region is known for many famous artists who came from there. Justin Guarini (American Idol runner-up), Tammy Terrell (Motown great who performed with Marvin Gaye), P!nk, George Thorogood (with the Destroyers), Hall & Oates, The Hooters, Taylor Swift, and many more.
