Wow, I appreciate everyone that has listened and viewed my video the past several months. I did not realize there were so many newbies music wise listening to this old school disco track. This DJ Nice also must be a newbie also. Being a former DJ myself I use to rock this my self back in 1979 on my radio show and at the club, often mixing it with GQ's Disco Nights, or The Isley Brothers Disco Night also Happy to see old school has the newbies coming out

DJ DNice is An incredible artist! He plays all sorts of genres. Kathy sledge is one of the frequent visitors to his page on Instagram so is Chaka Khan so is Angela Renee oh and Stephanie Mills. I even think Stevie Wonder stopped by. I have seen everybody that’s anybody including Michelle Obama come to hear his set. He has had over 100,000 people on his live at one time dancing all over the world.That’s just to name a few of the people who come and hear him play. Derrick is not new to this...

@@rahsaanaison3650 that's great, but I still had never heard of him, up until several days ago . Google him and saw his age most of the music he spins is older than he is, or he was only 8 or 9 when most of these jams were releashed. I am not impressed by what celebrity company he keeps or has been around. However I do wish the young man continued success in his career.
@rahsaanaison3650

Ok! Not sure 🤔 how you came to your conclusion that most of the music he plays is old school from one song Sir. He wouldn’t be America’s DJ if that’s all he did! He’s so much more than a DJ. When he gets on his turn tables magic happens. It’s infectious and contagious. I’ve never done drugs but I do crave for his music. I like many others have withdrawls when he is not playing his music. Sir, I stayed up listening and dancing to his music until 4am or 5am CST in the morning as if I had nothing to do the next day and it’s always worth it you for posting the song. Thank you Dnice for introducing the world to Kathy Sledge who was only 16 at the time of this recording. You don’t have to like him because America loves him!
@genobibb

@@rahsaanaison3650 young man there are thousands of DJ's throughout this country and world that can throw down. I just happen to be old school back in the day when you mixed and threw down with turntables only, no computers at all, you looped with vinyl etc.. Not taking away from today's guys, but people make DJ'S celebrities nowadays, because of social media and the way clubs are set up today. That's nothing new under the sun as far as being a wizard on mixing music. There are local DJ's right here in Vegas where I live that are much better than your dude, in which you have NEVER heard about any of them. Like I said I'm not impressed. I suggest you get out more travel and see what others have to offer, this sort of thing is happening all over.

An amazing combination: Niles and Bernard on production, Luther V. spicing up the background, and Kathy's amazing vocals and ad-libs at the end. My FAVORITE track off of this wonderful album!

Wow what a song from back in the day that’s “Chic’s” Nile Rodgers and Bernie Edwards sprinkling their musical magic on this sister sledge track from the late 1970’s Quality Quality Quality what more can you say and I am now 61 and lived through this superb decade for music. Hello from Scotland.
