Hi Dave. I am looking forward to your new content but I completely understand why you have not uploaded new videos lately. Take your time, get yourself in the right frame of mind and your loyal viewers will be here for you. You have had a life changing event happen to you and real life is way more important than KZitem. Much love from Northern Ireland and thank you for every video you have uploaded.

My original chips and arm were heated in a attic for years. The rubber skin turned hard and stuck badly to it all. I could not clean it off the arm, but I got the chips out, used a plastic spoon and carefully scrapped the rubber off as much as I could. Then using a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to clean off the rest. They looked good, but I then topped it with a bit of clear coat and they look new!!!!!! The Magic Eraser also worked great for his transport bringing back it's fresh white look!

Wonderful. Steve was a favorite of mine growing up. Looking through the eye was great. The roll up skin kinda creeped me out as a kid but I love it now!

Very nice as per usual Dave. There is a quick way to draw the bubbles, if required, to the surface by heating it quickly; either a small butane torch or even a BBQ lighter.

Great work! Love seeing someone used resin. I recently used some (along with some purple dye) to create a nice canopy on my Titans Return Transformer 'Krok' to replace the horrible broken rubber canopy. Turned out alright. :)

You can polish the resin up with a dremel and make it clearer but a nice cheap way to replicate this.

Awesome repro part! I would guess that if you printed the art on photo paper or shiny paper and then dipped or coated the resin with gloss like pledge floor shine the colors and clear resin would really pop!

Well done Dave. Always making the seemingly impossible possible! I recently picked up a boxed Six Million Dollar Man, all intact and never out of the box, but I fear the rubber sleeve will be totally perished and welded to his arm- never to reveal the chips!

So how would you make one if you don’t have one to mold off of? Casting the arm void wouldn’t work.
@toypolloi
2 жыл бұрын
I would make one out of miliput. Put some Vaseline in the chip hole so the miliput doesn't stick, and shape something that is as close to the chip shape as you can get. Then use that to make a mold. Cheers

No, I use Oyumaru which is the same kind of stuff, you can use it over and over and over.
