So sad, last year we were there around this time for a med. convention and it was "alive". Desolate is a perfect word. Frenchman Street had a night market till midnight. It was great!.

Hadn't thought to say stuff like that to show the relation to time (when you noted "if you're watching this in the future")... appreciate the tour as I haven't ever been and only seen what they want to show on TV/movies. It is hit or miss on what's open or not, but thanks for sharing. The drone at sunrise would probably be pretty sweet too! Thanks again for sharing and wishing you all the best.

It was NOT boring. It was informative. So, don't worry about it. There are people like us who live out of state and visit there every year. (Well, every year until COVID hit, that is.) We follow all the news there and put the Bourbon St. Live Webcam on every night - in an effort to get a feel for exactly how things are going. We really wish you would have taken it just 1/2 block more and included Lafitte's, though! That is our last stop of the night every time we visit. (We saw a video on another channel that showed 3-4 customers.) P.S. Glad the gargantuan rat didn't get you.

I think it is more than the governor. The mayor, Latoya, is more strict. And no. They always say we will re evaluate at a later date

Yes. I think we have a large LGBT community in the city. Oz and bourbon pub always packed. Several other LGBT friendly bars & restaurants in the city.
