Before carnivore, I was for 30 years a non-drinking, non-smoking mostly raw vegetarian (no dairy) and I had had two heart attacks and on arrival to the hospital for the first heart attack my BP was 240/130! While I was in for the first heart attack the docs discovered that I had quite an aggressive brain tumour above my cerebellum. I am 62 years old and have been on strict meat, salt, water diet for 6 months. I took my blood pressure today: 111/70. My tumour has completely disappeared. I feel fantastic. I run 10-20kms a day. I weigh what I did in my early twenties. Thank god I found this diet!

I still keep a massive organic rain watered garden for the family and we grow herbs, strawberries and hot peepers inside during the winter as well. I eat beef from a local farm and deer that I hunt with my bow. The animal concentration camps are a result of the offset nature to population density ratio. Animals were abundant when nature was abundant but now that people are all jammed together, the crops and animals have to be raised in a similar manner in order to supplement what nature once had to offer. I'd personally like to see more regenerative permacultural farming practices. Happy animals taste better and restore microbial diversity, carbon and nutrient density to the topsoil. There's definitely room for improvement.

The problem, as this brain sees it, is like he said of nutrient deficiency and that problem is a results of how we have taken care of the soil for decades. The soil is rapidly depleting and so is the nutrients in whatever food you eat. For an example, an orange from the 1950’s was full of vitamin A. To attain the same amounts today, you would have to consume 21 of them. Onions and potatoes no longer contain any trace of it. The iron content in meat? Divided by 2. Calcium in broccoli? Divided by 4. To ingest the vitamin C contained in an apple from yesteryear, you would have to eat 100 today. Its estimated that we will not be able to have any harvest left in around 55 years. Soil is the foundation in which every form of life stands on. In almost all society's there is also a food culture problem of not knowing what food to mix and not, how to prepare food, how to harvest, how to eat, how to listen to the body's needs etc. The less ingredients the body has to take care of in a given meal, the easier it will be for the system.

Everything you said about testosterone and discipline really struck a cord with me. I've been doing this diet for a couple of months now, and among other changes similar to the ones you mentioned (and likely more to come), I noticed my hormones have improved greatly One of the biggest hormonal changes has to be testosterone. I've had a nasty porn addiction for probably the last 15 years at least, and the urges were so bad that I couldn't get past 4 days off porn before I'd cave and relaps. I felt miserable doing that, but I just went with it because I didn't know how to quit. However, after two months on carnivore, I'm noticing the urges are greatly reduced to the point where I don't even need to try to control them anymore. I do have the thought of watching porn still, but the urges and the desire aren't NEARLY what they used to be, and I've found it much easier to control, and I actually feel like my male hormones are re-regulating as well. I haven't started cold approaching yet, but I'm actually considering doing it more because my male hormones and confidence are skyrocketing. It's something that, as a man, you have to experience it to fully understand what I'm talking about. I just feel like I'm taking back control of my life. I'm focusing more on entrepreneurship more too. Before I never had any desire to start any kind of business or income stream, but now I'm treating it like if I don't find alternate sources of income, then I'm just gonna be stuck being an employee my whole life living paycheck to paycheck. Long story short, the biggest changes I've noticed have definitely been mindset related. I've definitely noticed other thing like better sleep, better oral health, my body healing faster, etc. However, it's the mental improvements, in my eyes, that makes this diet worth it, and for a lot of people it can literally change the course of their life, and yet a lot of people will never even give it a chance because they watch too much TV or pay attention to bad doctors 🤷♂️ we live in a sad world.

Also many people are not getting enough salt or fat when transitioning from carb rich foods. Also if you have a fatty liver it might take a while before you start feeling better, good luck with your health journey, for many people its just as simple as skipping all other foods than meat but years of damage might need some other approaches like certain vitamins and minerals that you can supplement.

I remember eating vegan diet when I was 20, after about 4 week I lost a LOT of weight, I looked better, I felt better... but then after about 5 weeks I wanted to put the spoon of vegetables into my mouth and I wanted to throw up. I couldn't make myself eat the damn vegetables any more. I ate some stake, felt like a rock in my stomach. After about a day I tried again, tasted great but was still hard on my stomach. After that day, it went back to normal and I've never been off the meat. I just can't be vegan, or vegetarian. I can't understand how people can be vegans, it makes no sense to me at all.

I’m just learning that on carnivore, the body goes through cycles of dumping oxalates which can make you tired and feel crappy among other symptoms. the cycles can last for a long time, because the oxalates can be coming out of your bones and everything else. That’s something to look into especially if you have been vegetarian or vegan. And oxalate crystals can irritate the bladder among other things, and make you have to get up and pee all night long.

Probably one of the most insightful review of someone’s carnivore journey. I’m sure this will help a lot of people. This highlighted the importance of eating proper foods to another level to me. I knew the importance of eating meat and cutting out other crap, but your transformation is mind blowing and such an eye opener to me on why so many people are so unhealthy. Everyone is eating crappy foods and not getting any nutrition. People are so sick these days, and this has just shown me that majority of it comes down to the foods. If only everyone ate like this or similar to this…. what a completely different world we be in. I’m from England at so many people here just look sick and unhealthy it’s so sad to see. I hope that people will wake up to the realities of the foods they need, as clearly from your case alone it is the biggest and easiest change someone can make in their lives.

You look like you won some mega million jackpot. I can't remember when I saw someone who expressed so much joy in just being. Thank you brother. God bless 🙏 Please post videos when you start your Water fast. I'm also a fan of doing Water fasts. I once did a 30 day fast. But I no longer believe in extended fasts. It's better (healthier) to do regular small fasts (2-5 days) than a 30 day fast once a year. For example, it's much more beneficial to do a 2 day fast once a week (5/2) or a 5 day fast once a month (25/5) than a 30 day fast once a year. Try it out and see how you'll feel ✌️

I don't think this is something to celebrate or to be proud of, but I'm kinda happy to feel better, despite all, and I understand why people get excited about the benefits, I just dislike that everyone seem so black or white these days, like you can't think in a nuanced way or you aren't accepted anywhere because everywhere it feels like a fucking religion where speaking about certain things is forbidden

I went on carnivore to cure some health issues, and those issues are fixed, but now I have to find the right balance. The big problem with carnivore is you have to eat quite a lot of meat to get enough calories. A minimum of 2 pounds of meat to maintain and ideally 3 pounds if you're active. In the long run, I found it not sustainable. But everyone's calorie metabolism is different. Some may have to introduce more carbohydrates or less. However, if you can make it on all carnivores, then that's fine.

Eron, Thank you so very much for providing this information! After corresponding with you in the last video's comments, I was hoping that you would share your lab results with a more in-depth discussion of your progress. I've been jonesing for my organization to send the medi-RV around again to receive a full preventive exam with on-site EKG, ultrasounds, blood labs, etc., so I can track my progress. As I mentioned in the last one, I see so many parallels between us, despite coming from the other end of the weight spectrum. This is despite the fact that I was trying to eat the "correct" way (without getting into all the details). I know my body has responded well to Carnivore and am experiencing the same types of optimization you are (although, not fully there yet). Some of these things are: better sleep with less hours of sleep (considering getting rid of my CPAP machine at some point in the future), I feel higher T (was in the very low 300's), better mental clarity and ability to make fast decisive judgements that have significant impact (specifically at work, which is high stress-sometimes emergency service related), calmness and confidence under stressful, multi-tasking situations (work), better ability to calm others down in these situations, walking tall with chest out naturally (not forcing it, just feeling confident and masculine, without putting on a facade), no more gums bleeding, arthritis significantly reduced, inflammation gone, gut issues gone, Plantar Faciitis basically gone (feel a little occasionally, now that I'm sprinting-I wouldn't dare consider sprinting 8 months ago), skin conditions are better, I sweat less and my body tolerates extreme heat/humidity amazingly better (like I was as a kid), sun tolerance is incredibly better (I am fair-skinned and do not burn like I did), beard stubble is like "iron filings" (still haven't had my MPB change, though LOL), better vascularity, can see the vein pulses by my elbow (a la Dr. Sean O'mara), and there's probably more. I also have a stronger bonding with my ancestral roots, like you. On the subject of labs, would you please elaborate on any ones you're comfortable with sharing? Some I would be interested are: fasting BG, fasting insulin, HbA1C, C reactive protein, and any others you may have. Thanks again, Eron! This is a fantastic video!

Hey Chris! thanks for sharing man, this is absolutely insane, it sounds like our experience's are like you said incredibly parallel! I think your list is even longer than mine is of all the positive changes you've noticed! Unfortunately I dont have much else to share in the bloodwork spectrum, its just very costly here in Indonesia.. I hope to visit Canada (where im originally from) in the next year and get a full lab with everything I could dream of but it is unfortunate that I dont have. a 'before' of alot of things. It's funny because I think even doctors I've seen in the past haven't put me in for certain tests because they dont understand the interconnectivity of nuances in the body. The only others I didnt include, besides the rest of my hematology panel which is dull, would be free T which is 75pg/ml (reference of 46-225) - and couple concerning some disfunction with my producing, an breaking down RBC. My RDW-CV is high at 19%, and bilirubin is slightly over the threshold too - this has been the case for a while but has improved slightly! I actually recorded a bit speaking about that.. but I felt it was getting a bit too dragged on for the general audience who potentially dont even know what bilirubin is 😜 Thanks for your support man!

Always some black heads somewhere on my face.. No more zits. I don’t get cuts easily. Stronger skin. A bump, ingrown hair on my leg for years just suddenly came off. At last poof. Overall blood pressure just dropped. Drop in blood sugar which to my view is quite a big deal. I would have never been able to drop the level if I had to rely on the damn doctor's advice or his cronies. No more dry nose which caused bleeding every so often. In fact, my nose is supple and soft. Not all dried out. My morning breath is not so annoying that I couldn't wait to brush the sucker. I don’t feel bogged down.. Just a fresher energy. The air feels better and my mood is simply much lighter and better. I used to get light headed more often than I cared and that is gone. There was a strange, odd itch on the side of my left foot. I inherited it from my ex wife. she got it from someone else, it would appear every so often. It is no more at all. I get up less often at night to urinate. In fact I only woke up once last night. I say wow. I also noticed that I tolerate cold and hot weather big time. Interesting alright. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ HDL-C went from 40 to 75 Triglycerides went from 225 to 50 A1C dropped from 5.7 to 5.3 Weight loss without sweating and hard work, from 210 to 165 lbs. ---------------------------------------------------- Total cholesterol from 183 to 500 LDL from 104 to 350 Here is my conclusion. If I drop dead tomorrow due to high LDL, I will be perfectly okay with it. Why? This means I am feeling wonderful before croaking. After tall that is what it is all about in my book. Bottom line. Period. 🙂 Now lets say I won't croak tomorrow. Just how long would I stay with this type of diet? Here is my answer. Once I hit 155 lbs. I will stop the strict diet. I am 5'7" so that is the right weight for me. At that time I would be more relaxed about it. I will incorporate fruit since I love a good fuji apple and few other fruits. However bread and pasta and the rest gone for good. Why do I say this? It is because I actually like meat so for me it is right up my alley. I can't quite explain the calmness I feel when I am waking, but it is nice. Will be starting a calisthenics program in a month or so.

I'm about 3 months in, with a similar dietary past. I'm getting great results as far as inflammation, but I'm not losing weight like I thought I would. I'm 47, I weigh 220 at 6'3", and I ate 2 pounds of bottom round steak yesterday, seared with a teaspoon of lard. The only other calories I consume come from heavy cream that I put in kratom tea. I'm going to cut out the kratom tea and swap to capsules to eliminate the cream calories, and hopefully that will get me back on the weight loss train. I'd like to be 200 pounds. I know kratom isn't carnivore, but I got hooked on it during my plant based days for pain relief, and you do NOT want to cut kratom cold turkey. First, I'll swap to capsules, then I'll slowly reduce the number and frequency I take them.

I cannot get over the difference in how you look. You looked emaciated before. You looked like you were sick and dying. Thank you for the inspiration. I’m starting again today. The only thing that always gets me off track is bread. Congratulations you look phenomenal.

waking up to pee, isn’t about having water in your system most of the time, unless you chug a liter of water before bed. nighttime urination is a sign of cortisol dysregulation. your body actually normally produces anti-diuretic to prevent you from urinating yourself at night and as long as you’re asleep, your body produces it to keep you from wetting the bed. when you wake up because of cortisol dysregulation, your body notices that there’s some liquid in your bladder so you go pee. you don’t wake up TO go pee. You wake up and then realize you also have to pee. So it sounds like you have also been able to correct some cortisol problems with your new diet.

Went from a 11 year HCLF Vegan to carnivore. I finally feel like im living my life. From 17 to 28 i wasted my prime years underdeveloped, malnutrition, developing night blindness, in gut PAIN, anxious and depressed. Living on a toilet. Miserable. I finally reclaimed my life back and feel like the person I should've been all these years. Guys, going vegan is no joke and its a mental/societal plague/contagion. There are no words to describe how I felt when i ate my first piece of meat, and seeing colors properly for the first time in years. Almost like a mushroom trip. Eat meat and stay healthy.

I just saw a video of two docs saying to much protein will wreck your kidneys. I eat easily three times as much as they recommend. Now I come here and you stopped having to pee all night. I have had the same experience, at 55. I pee when I wake up. I don’t wake up to pee. Hence, I sleep better. I had kidney issues when I was eating a ‘balenced’ diet. Now I don’t. Yesterday I ate a 1.5 lb pork chop and some kifer for brunch, and then a sausage, an avocado, and a grapefruit for dinner. I feel great. Meat and fruit. Avoid sweeter fruits, generally, and I only eat the carbs after @4 pm, and after a first meal of just protein and fat. I believe ketosis is our natural dominant system, and that glucose and insulin are secondary. 55 yo male. 150lb. Great muscle tone. 6 pack. I do some calisthenics. No gym. My energy is steady. I used to crash hard everyday @4pm. Now I don’t. Have broken lots of bones. Elbow, wrist, ankle, and both shoulders several times. Two required surgery. My joints are all f’d up… they don’t bother me anymore, at all. I play drums, build stuff, ride bikes… active. No problem. My kidneys healed, my rotator cups healed, my energy is better… the Standard American Diet is, in fact, a sad diet. My gums also… way better.

Wow, no offense but when you started 6 mo. ago you looked like one of those guys who was rescued from a prison camp! Glad you found this lifestyle and are nourishing your body. I had the opposite issue 6 months ago...all the plant based food gave me insulin resistance and 35 pounds of fat. Still want to lose this last 10lbs. but I feel so much better. I am increasing my muscle mass with free weights and hot yoga. My biggest issue is that I dump oxalates from all the "healthy" veggies, nuts, cacao, turmeric, etc. that I consumed for over 10 years. 🎉Congrats on your results and thanks for sharing your journey. I hope that others will see your results and decide to make the change. 😊

You are an amazing inspiration, I have been on keto/ low carb diet for over a year. I must say I lost about 16 kg. I do fast every Monday and Thursday every week and about 18 hours intermittent fasting every other day. But I think I am going to try the carnivore diet to regain some muscle. Man you really inspired me. Many thanks.

I'm only at my 12th day of carnivore diet, and I realised that all my senses are more sensible may I say, already had so good ears so that didn't changed much, I'm a massage therapist and already had an amazing touch feeling according to all my clients and I can feel even more of all little subtilities of each body, my eyes were going bad from a certain distance and this seems to be better little by little, but the taste and especially the nose have gone to the roof. Cutted coffee and all plants, so sugar too, no carbs, no fiber, and my foot pain from rhumatoïd arthritis is already almost completely gone, feeling really amazing. Now need to take weight cause I was 155 pounds at 6'3", so skinny but still muscular... Was able to get heavier easily with pastas or peannut butter but was loosing it the day after so muscle mass have always been a problem. I used to fast everyday for 16 to 23 hours with water in order to not feel too much pain, but the last one of 25 hours without water had me even skinnier than before. Because of that, I seem almost like completely dehydrated no matter how much water I was drinking, almost like I wasn't able to retain water because of not having enough fat, don't know if this makes sense but it seems to because I can drink more now and less peeing so something changed in my body that makes me retain water now. Keep up your good work, I'll keep on going on this healing journey!!! 😊

I'm coming close to my 12-month point and had a total of four oxalate dumps, usually with itchy rashes and crystals forming out of my eyelashes, nose, armpits and even nipples. It definitely feels crazy for the first time, but it's just a process now. I could never go back to eating carbs at this point, I'm for the first time in my life diarrhea free, I sleep better, my gum is healthier without brushing except maybe once a week. My skin still doesn't like dairy or eggs, but I recently introduced broccoli and avocado back and they seem to align well with me at this point. For anyone with skin issues, I highly recommend using banana peels to rub on your rashes, it's by far the best solution so far for me.

This is a great video because it’s the opposite of what most people see is the high weight with the weight loss I’m 65 years old. I started this 24 days ago I’ve lost 15 pounds and I’ve lost so much inches around my waist. I’ve been wearing sweats because it’s winter, but I wore some pants to go out today and I could not believe the amount of room I have in these pants and I’m not exaggerating. My arms are more defined., I feel better and have more energy than I’ve ever felt. I started at 220 and bow 205. I had arthritis in my hands, my shoulders and my hips and legs within three days of this diet arthritis kind of went away and I haven’t had it back. I know this sounds unbelievable. I saw Joe Rogan with Dr. Sean Baker and I was convinced I needed to try this and I’m giving myself 30 days but I know I’m gonna go past 30.

I’m 17mths carnivore. I agree with all you have experienced 100%. I have experienced the same. I would also say that yes, improved cholesterol and higher levels of lipids in the blood, help the skin process sunlight (vit D etc..) I even love your view on carnaflex. I bonded with my suit taylor and he offered me a piece of baklava. Hell yes it was worth taking and eating a small piece. I made him so happy to share his favorite food with me and I enjoyed it. Didn’t need it, don’t feel like I must have those sweets. But part of the carnivore ethos, the spiritual side you spoke of, is grab life and live in harmony with nature and others.

Amazing, I am true Carnivore for 3.5 months but Keto for like 6 months. All the stuff that you were mentioning has happened to me but if I could make one observation about your before and after it’s your color, it’s not a sunburn it’s just your glow from the inside. It’s fantastic. I don’t listen to the people that tell you to eat the things that are going to make you sick again, I’m on my last 20 pounds to get me to around 180 and I’m amazed at in just a short time what’s happened good luck you look great keep going in and thank you

Congratulations. I've also tried a number of things to feel my best. I've done detoxes (several on Ko Samui, Thailand), with psyllium shakes and enemas to help my bloated gut (which I experienced from age 40; I'm now 67). They helped, but gradually I'd get back to eating pizza and ice cream and drinking beer or wine to late in the evening, too many days in a row ('boredom relievers?'), and wake up feeling foggy and lethargic, then depressed. I did a 53-day fresh juice fast a few years ago. My arthritis (inflammatory autoimmune disease), basically went away. But I wasn't careful enough and I got the dangerous 'refeeding syndrome' when I started eating again. And after starting back eating 'normal' food (to get my weight back), the arthritis came back. I've been a professional guitar player since my twenties, and now I have inflammation in my fingers so bad that some things are impossible on guitar, which is rather depressing. After hearing Jordon and Mikhaila Peterson's testimony about how eating beef essentially cured all of their terrible health issues...I'm now on the 5th day of beef, eggs, veggies and coffee (with cream). The Petersons (which also happens to be my last name), say "beef, salt and water" is the ultimate diet for them. But I'm not ready to go that hardcore; maybe in a week or two. I know the cream should be let go, but I can't yet. Anyhow, just eliminating completely sugar, grains, fruit and alcohol should (is already?) help/helping. Thanks for the vid. I've also heard water fasting is great. But as you know, many find it hard to do. Maybe some day I'll feel ready to give it a try.

Oh my gosh… worried about the water fast. Your body has been through so much, 6-7 years of 💩. Try to be patient and keep giving yourself extreme nutrition. Your body/energy levels will straighten out on their own. Try not to chase the water fast “high”. It can get you into trouble again.
@EronEdwards

naw, the last one was incredible. Have you ever looked into the benefits of a long-term fast? Most haven't
@chrisypbydesign
Жыл бұрын
@@EronEdwards Yes, I have 😊 I’m just concerned that because you have not been carnivore for very long, you might want to let your body heal through getting the nutrition your body has lacked for years before a water fast. I get autophagy and other benefits from fasting, but, like I said, the malnutrition and starvation your body experienced was pretty severe. Just something to ponder. Love you and your channel. So happy to see you thrive. It must be so thrilling to feel so much better. Life changing!
@TaillandierLudovic

@@chrisypbydesign completely agree with this, as a carnivore and ex-waterfasting person. this is way too soon and also way too long of a fast coming from the place you come from @eronedwards 🙏 Yes most of us know the benefits of autophagy, but this is also a strong stress signal to the body. Your body was starved and deteriorated, it's not autophagy you need now, it's nutrition, and let the body clean/repair itself from the diverse plant toxins you have, this can take years. Do this for a long enough time before you make you remember to activate the starvation responses it has learned through your vegan years. Be careful what you wish for, on paper, yes you are thinking fasting = autophagy. but from your past history, your body could also remember starvation and cause further and accelerated breakdowns of your organs 🙏 To be honest, appart from any serious health problem, i would probably never starve my body ever again if i were you :)
