Love you solution man! I was doing that with a use of SUMMARIZE function for calculation of daily SD and the using CALCULATE with ALL to refer to the latest date, which was not interactive with data slicer for example. Yours approach gives full flexibility! Great video!

Great explanation of how to do a SPC chart. Not only than, the technique that you used to break the chart into parts an colors is very useful and can be used in a myriad of situations, thank you very much for showing this!!

Superb explanation. I liked how you marched through what you might expect to do but the subsequent shortfalls. It makes it more educational than simply showing the polished solution.

Hello thanks for sharing I have a question, what if I have only the date in one column, at my understanding, it needs to be measured by a table but what if we need to use just a column instead of a table, is it possible?

Don't want to rain on your parade, but this kind of misses the point of control charts. Control limits are supposed to be 'locked' regardless of date filter etc. You calculate your limits and freeze them in place until your signal dictates that you should review, then potentially recalculate your limits. If they move when you change your filter then it defeats the point of it being a 'control'

Hi, thanks for the video I have subscribed. I am on the first part where you have written the 'AverageX' at approx 3.30m. Is your 'total sales' within the same table as your calendar table? I have a separate table for the data i want to measure and a separate table for the calendar. Thank you

They are in different tables. Here is the full article, including sample files exceleratorbi.com.au/six-sigma-control-charts-in-power-bi/

@@Agile-Insights thank you , where you have ''calender, total sales". I have a "length if stay" table which includes a "length of stay" column which is my main column. So here my code reads LOS = CALCULATE( AVERAGEX('lengthIfStay', [Length of Stay]), ALLSELECTED('Calendar')) If I remove the 'lengthIfstay' table and Input the 'calender' table I get a error and cannot reference the 'length of stay ' column so currently my code reads as mentioned above. Any ideas please as your code reads 'AVERAGEX('CALENDAR',[Total Sales]) and functions without an error

DAX seems simple on the surface, but there’s lots of detail beneath. I have no idea why you are using ALLSELECTED. You don’t show any information about relationships, and you can’t use a column in this formula. This is not the best place to get support. I suggest you ask for help at community.powerbi.com

Where is the Calendar Table coming from on this? Is that something you previously created?

In this case, the calendar table comes from the Adventure Works Database. But I have a blog article about how you can create your own reusable calendar table here exceleratorbi.com.au/build-reusable-calendar-table-power-query/
