I'm one of those "I was a fan before Kiss Me' guys. I played this album to death 24 years ago. I came back to Christ, on my knees, a couple years ago and ditching my secular music was so happy to re-discover This Beautiful Mess again. This makes me happy. Takes me back to a time when God was my focal point and not knowing then I'd flounder, tossed to and fro on the waves for 20 years. So happy ... deeply at peace now. I used to pray for musicians to come to Christ and display that in their work. The is no longer a shortage of good Christian music. Maybe not all of it is theologically precise ... but it's much better than what the world offers. I could go on for days about this topic.

thanks for sharing, i love reading stories like this, especially now that i'm trying to get closer to God, praying and going to church after I didnt believe in Him. When I was a teenager I was influenced by society and family that it wasn't "a cool thing" to believe in. I've never felt like I feel when seeing things about Christianity and Jesus, I get chills and feel very moved when praying, feels very peaceful too

It wasn't the sound engineer's fault. Unfortunately the SCREEM did not have a permanent PA system so the mains were on the far left and far right of the stage. This was filmed from the center, right up at the stage, and received maximum stage volume (coming from the drums and guitar amplifiers) with almost nothing from the mains. Any vocals that came through were probably from her floor monitor.

Such an awesome song, even after all the years. Just as meaningful too. Still better than most of the music that exists today. The bassist is awesome too!

Sixpence None the Richer really does have a unique take. This crunchy title nicely rounds out their catalog.
