Thank you Roberta. I have started doing charity knitting - making lapghans etc for solo elders in nursing homes. I collect left over yarns from ladies who no longer have use for it. There is all kinds of yarns...some very chunky - too large for the KM ergo, one way to use it is to weave it. The woven panels will be joined to make lapghans.

I love to hear that some will donate their work to a good cause. When I do get some yarn from another person, I do try to use those for hats to donate to the local kids here. Yes when one has too thick a yarn for machine knitting, one can use it for weaving. The other way is to use Every Other Needle but sometimes that will not work either. Berda

Really like this technique.....seems like a food way to use yarn to heavy to knit. My question is what size yarn do you use as the knitting yarn?

I do like a woven fabric from time to time. Now the good thing is the weaving yarn can be a thicker one where the one in the machine is normal size yarn for it. Berda

Thank you for viewing my videos. There was a set of I think 13 different videos on how to manually do things on some of the machines that do not have the easy ways like punch cards or in this case, weaving back then. I was asked for one thing but went on with all those at that time. It pleases me to know that people like you get to learn something from me or even from others that have their videos up. Berda

Hi! :) Do you think this weaving can be done with a Ultimate Sweater Machine?

***** I am pretty sure you can do the same on the Bond or any other machine this way.
