A beautiful and fluid skater. Somehow the missed jump does nothing to make his skating program less. It is always a pleasure to see him swim through the ice. A fish cannot really "fall". Just graceful but with purpose.
На вальс это совсем непохоже... Прошлогодние программы ему шли гораздо больше.

Poor Korea...Junhwan Cha's 15-minutes of fame are over...11th place in the long program at Skate Canada and 9th overall. He has ZERO chance of making the Grand Prix Final. I believe this would be called KARMA for his leaving Brian Orser. Kim Yuna did the same thing - learn incredible skills and gain fame from a Canadian coach then dump them. Hope he has learned his lesson.@@marisolgarcia3123

Junhwan is adapting to the new addition of quad jumps this season. It's still early in the season and we're still getting used to it, so mistakes can happen. As he becomes more familiar with the new program and structure, he will score higher than before. Wait a little longer.

My guess is that he did not pick this music-- feels like a fish out of water. If he will be permitted to pick his own music he will skate with more passion and the performance factor will go up.

Oh you missed my point...Koreans use people to their benefit, then dump them like waste, and move on. Karma is biting Junhwan and Yuna in their cosmetic surgery bum bums.@@jangjang9632

@donnyslader9025 You are very rude. Junhwan had no choice but to train in Korea starting in 2020 because the Canadian border was blocked due to the covid pandemic. And he is attending college in Korea. It could only be seen at competitions with Orser. He achieved good results until last season even without Orser. This season has only just begun. And it was Orser who betrayed Yuna Kim. This time too, Orser unilaterally revealed to the media that Junhwan had left without any official announcement. He is not a coach with good character.

You are so wrong. Koreans, from my experience, love to use people, then dump them when they have received what they want. This was the case with Yuna and the girly girl Junhwan. You are aware that Brian found out about Yuna leaving him through the media right? Are you also aware that when Yuna trained in Toronto, a very good Korean friend of mine asked Yuna for a photo in a restaurant. Yuna was so rude to a fellow Korean that my friend immediately deleted the photo from her phone. Yuna's mother is considered by all the be a queen b****. So sweetheart please get your facts correct before spotting off at the mouth. Congratulations you win the prize for rudest and most ignorant contributor to KZitem comments.@@miromiro5545

It's not that, he's got a problem with his boots. And Yuna did a good job without him.

Sure blame his boot...if that's the case, then he should have instituted preventative measures weeks ago, like I don't know... get new boots. Junhwan has not skated well ALL fall...so it sounds like his KOREAN coach doesn't know how to fix problems proactively. Not even Junhwan's girly blouse, his nightly face cleansing routine, daily make-up ritual or more cosmetic surgery can help this guy/girl.@@stressbook9832

Karma has nothing to do here. A coach is 50% of a great athlete, the other 60%, yes, is the athlete's physical and mental work. Not every athlete can afford to make repetitive trips to Canada and/or live in Canada to train with a Canadian coach. There are good coaches in Korea as well as everywhere else. Last but not least, this is a sport where on the ice anything can happen to any athlete, even the best of them all.

Karma has everything to do with the girly Junhwan's decision. Also please get yourself some math lessons...50% and 60% doesn't add up to 100%. Obviously Junhwan's new coaching arrangement isn't working - he had 2 terrible Challenger Series events and Skate Canada was even worse. Most athletes don;t make repetitive trips to a coach in a different country - they actually live their full time. But Junhwan is too worried about his nightly facial routine, Korean make-up regiments and having consultations for his next cosmetic surgery procedure. And finally, Junhwan is not among the "best" of them.@@thulekovish8188
