The landscape to the musical transition to Grime had fully crystallised with producers and artists started getting national and international recognition. However, raves nights catering for Grime were facing tough opposition from the authorities and the law was being exercised to curb the promotion and the running of Grime events at many venues with threat of being closing down due to violence at being a key reoccurring issue in all of this. Evens mainly took palace in the East London area, such as: Palace Pavilion, Stratford Rex, Club EQ, and Ocean nightclub. Events like: "Club Sidewinder" @The Sanctuary, in Milton Keynes and started touring up down the country giving access to new audiences and expanding the market. Also raves "Young Man Standing" @Palace Pavilion which were instrumental in bringing the spirit of pirate radio to a venue. Not forgetting influential events like "Eskimo Dance" @Area Nightclub, in Watford, that gave a crucial platform to the Grime movement. At the time it wasn't easy to get booked or find nightclubs that catered for Grime music as it had been stigmatised and discriminated on by nightclub owners and promoters. Several years earlier in 2004, Grime was getting more coverage through the mainstream with the commercial success of 2004 Christmas hit "Pow! (Forward)" by Lethal Bizzle, and Dizzee Rascal's "Showtime" album. In 2005, Kano had been snapped up by the majors releasing "Typical Me", "Routine Check", "Remember Me" and "Nite Nite". Wiley had also gained commercial success with the release of "What Do U Call It?" and "Pies". Roll Deep had expanded their crew and recruited the likes of JME, Skepta, Killa P, Riko Dan, and where launched as collective to the mainstream with the release of "The Avenue" and "Shake A Leg", in 2005. They made it number twice to the no.1 spot in UK commercial charts with singles "Good Times" and Green Light". This opened the doors to members of the crew who were getting noticed and gave them a stepping stone. The likes of Skepta had done plenty of grafting in the years before it as a producer and pirate radio/rave MC.
