Recently I was asked if there was a copy and paste function within Sketch Club for the iPad. So I started poking around the program to see if there was a way to copy and paste. And low and behold there is, but it isn't as simple as one would think.
Is there a copy and paste function in this app? - Raymond Consing
Round About Copy and Paste
My major problem with how the copy and paste function works is that you have to go through too many clicks. I'm not a fan of having to go between tools several times to simply copy a circle and paste it again in another location.
For example, if you look at how Procreate works copy and paste, it's simple. You pick the select tool, then 2 swipes later and you have it copied and pasted. On the other hand, if you look at Sketch Club, you have to select your are with the selection tool, then copy it in the layers panel, then past it in the layers panel, then go back to the canvas and move it to where you want.
So many steps, so many tool bars, so much work to simply copy and paste.
Is It A Game Changer?
Will this make me avoid Sketch Club? No, not really. It's more of a minor annoyance. There are worse offenders out there, programs that may not have copy paste at all. Those are the ones that get my goat. So give it a try, and let me know what you think about Sketch Club's copy and paste.
