I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I just watched your Domestika course and I'm super hyped for this type of sketching. I find your method especially challenging for my perfectionism - for me, architectural drawing was always about precision, strict proportions, almost like a technical drawing kind of thing and that was my approach so far. And yet, my drawings lacked life and had way too many lines. It occured to me that I was much more on the side of trying to draw everything what's really there, instead of trying to represent the effect that it has on the viewer. I like how loose your drawings are, how deliberate you are in being not very strict and precise, in letting air and space into the drawing by leaving white space between marker strokes and letting lines to cross or not align even if they do align in reality. I love the space you leave in your drawings for the viewer to fill in with who they are. I wish you all the very best - and thank you so much.

That was very useful, Albert, thank you. I followed you here from Domestica and am working my way through what you described as the "first thousand sketches". 🙂

Hi Stephen, thank you!! And about those 1000... you will discover that far before you reach these thousand sketches, your work has improved considerably! And always remember to enjoy the path you are on! An end result just the conclusion of a project. Not the end of a journey!

Thank you Albert ! You asked for suggestions for our future videos. While the coloring of my drawing is improving thanks to your teaching, my sketching is still static and totally lacks the animation and life that you are able to give to your drawings. Can you explain again your technique and have some suggestions of what details should be retained and which one should be ignored . I know talent is the key, you obviously are filled with it, but I am just a pure mortal that needs your help. Cheers !

I've had the pleasure of looking at a lot of the drawings you've posted (over in another content service [any time I say a competitor's name, my comment gets deleted] :)). I really appreciate your art style! I like the looseness present in your linework and how the colors complement it and tie it all together (like all your followers, of course.). Your choices of colors are really very satisfying. It's quite instructional to hear how you think about it all. Thank you for the video!

Albert ,I loved your Domestica course and of course your work. I am struggling with keeping my colours light. They always seem to get much more saturated than I like. I use the very lightest ones I have. Also blending is a problem. Thank you so much for your very generous sharing .

Hi!! Thanks for joining me on Domestika!! Question about your colors... do you have a color reference sheet? It can be an important ally in picking the right starting points for colouring. How light are the lightest ones? But always know that you can ask me questions like these on the Domestika channel!

Great video Albert! As you know I absolutely love your work! I love your use of color. I was wondering if you sometimes limit your self to how many colors you use. For example a piece that you only use warm colors, or only cool colors, or only shades of one color such as all reds or all greens. Loved the video, can’t wait to see more!

Hi Jason! So glad to see you join me here!! Thank you! As for the colors, yes… I do that at times, and it is also something I would like to dive in even more. I’d be curious to put it in a monochrome. But I also want to experiment with some very muted but simple palettes like a greyish green, a greyish blue and a warm muted earth color. But just those and a contrast dark value to punch in some depth. Here’s one where I used a simplified palette: instagram.com/p/Cam-5_hsVOt/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= Thanks buddy!!🍀Oh, and I greatly enjoy your work!! Been thinking many times of sketching a couple of your buildings. And now I type this: How about a collaboration where I sketch some of your buildings and you pick a favorite from my sketches and try and build that? I’d love that!

I'm currently attending your course, it's going quite slowly because I have to translate texts. And I have a present fear because of my innate precision (I draw mandalas otherwise). I will succeed, I dare myself
